Two years have passed since Evalynn got ill and it is finally time for her to attend her first military ball for the 4 corps. that were held frequently. She stood next to her father as the commanders and their families greeted those who entered the banquet hall.
Next to her family stood the family of commander Nile Dok, the commander of the military police regiment. With him was his wife Marie, their son Elijah, who was a year older then herself, their daughter Nicole, who was the same age as Evalynn, their son Roman, who was a year younger then herself and then their infant son Michael.
After everyone had entered the hall, Evalynn went to wander around the room when she ran into Nicole. The raven haired girl smiles softly at Evalynn and held out her hand to her kindly. "Hi, your Evalynn right? Erwin daughter? I'm Nicole, it's nice to meet you".
Evalynn shook Nicoles hand and smield. " Yes, Erwin is my father, my name is Evalynn and it's nice to meet you too Nicole" She said softly.
The two girls talked all night laughing and playing games with eeach other. Before they knew it a friendship had formed between the two.
Elijah however, was a different story. The older boy was cruel toward Evalynn. He would harass her and say mean things. Evalynn wondered how the two could be siblings and be so different from one another.
When the night had ended Evalynn walked out with her fathers. She waved goodbye to Nicole and walked back to the survey corps. with the two men.
