Friday, the weekday has come to an end and it's their last moment being inside that building which they call stupid now. The boss, however, did not fail the employee's expectation since the salary they've received was larger than the normal monthly salary.
And about the available male supervisor position Chen had told Suho; unluckily, the older didn't got the said job. Only Baekhyun and Chen got the spot which made Suho envy them a bit, just a bit. Nevertheless, he told himself that it's all right and he should proceed applying as a call center agent instead. It was his main idea anyway, and that other position was just suggested by his great friend.
(At the train)
"Hyung, tell me more about yourself but more importantly on the only crush you've had! My curiosity is eating me up!" Chen seemed more clingy in an annoying way this time compared to the last time he and Suho met. Perhaps it was because he was getting more comfortable being with the older. On the other hand, the older was taken aback. He knows that Chen can be damn demanding at some point, like the situation he's in. Though he barely talks about that little crush thingy, it looks like he had no choice but to agree, spilling some information and not completely mentioning their name.
He was also surprised by the fact that Baekhyun was silent the whole time, only looking at him with a sly grin imprinted on his face. It seems like he had finally shut up for once in his life.
"He wasn't just a crush though, we became a couple afterwards. We were a happy couple at first and then,"
Suho gave Chen a wistful smile as he was reminiscing the past— the past that he no longer wants to remember. And here they are, talking about it.
"Then.. You know what happens. Like in those movies."
Chen replied with an 'Ooh' while nodding. He lowered his head and tapped his hyung's shouders gently which made the latter feel shivers run down his spine. They both exchanged warm smiles as the train arrived at its destination.
Apparently, bad luck struck Suho once they had arrived at the mall. Since he was 'excited' and 'nervous' he bumped into an old man who dropped his coffee on Suho's clothing. Surely he won't be able to go to an interview looking like that, therefore his interview was postponed but sadly the job offering was no longer available when he came back the other day. Bummer, he sighs.
After bidding goodbye to the other employees they have considered friends for some time, Chen and the group made other plans in mind, which isn't a surprising thing at all. They do it all the time and of course, it's going to the mall. Definitely not for another shopping spree but to eat and spend time with each other. He wants to have memories to treasure, memories with his dear friends.
Unfortunately, Baekhyun was unavailable due to his promise to his mother that he would treat her out at another nearby mall. Chanyeol on the other hand was available, but only for a small amount of time due to personal reasons in which he doesn't want to share to anyone.
Sehun didn't want to go, not that he doesn't want to hang out with his friends, but he had some personal stuffs to do at home. But actually, he's just too lazy to take a stroll at the mall.
And that leaves Suho and Chen alone together, once again.
It wasn't actually a sad thing, or an eh for the both of them. The happiest one is clearly Chen, frankly because he feels like it. He invited his hyung to play games with him and the older agreed happily, even if it's weird to see two grown-up adults playing like a child, but they couldn't care less. Who cares about age? That was all they could think of whilst living the moment.
Subsequently they started visiting every single store the mall could offer. However, there wasn't a cent that they've wasted, not even a single one even if the temptation is too hard to resist.
Their feet got tired of walking after awhile as expected, so they've decided to go to the food court to chill and rest themselves for a little while. Well that chill wasn't just chill anymore since they both got hungry. It's noon time anyways, they could eat now and so they did.
Talking during their meals was certainly the perfect time to discuss about their personal experiences, they do it everytime they have the chance to.
The night was still young but they can't spend all day strolling at the mall even if they wanted to. They've been here since morning, and they don't want to be here until night. Chen and Suho unwillingly bid their goodbyes to each other before going back home.
Suho had nothing else to do in particular, he doesn't have anything in mind. He would call it a day already.
He jumps right into his bed, fingers curling on his fluffy hair as he lies on his back. Lost in looking through the webbed corners of his room, little did he notice the smile that was slowly forming on his face while thinking about the events that happened earlier. He doesn't want this feeling to end— feeling of happiness. His friends sure make this feeling arise in him. It was like he was a child again, excited for tomorrow and happy about yesterday. He then drifts into a dreamless slumber with a smile on his face.
And a month seemed to pass as quick as day. Nights of adequate and good sleep became countless to Suho since he became jobless for two weeks, but now he is in the midst of becoming a call center agent, just waiting for the right time where they will contact him.
Good days were also countless, not until the unexpected one came. An event shattered him into pieces, depression waving at him again. He was able to hold it back last year, but this time, he wasn't.
