Days have gone by, then weeks, then months. Winter was fastly approaching and bringing along cold winds and rain.
Just like the changes in seasons, Can and Demet's relationship was ever evolving. Can was extremely passionate about his love for Demet, he was willing to do about anything for her. He received several offers to work abroad, and he quickly refused them one by one simply because he couldn't bare the thought of staying away from her for more than a day. She was the air that filled his lungs, she was his warm ray of sunshine on those cold winter days.
People on the set and in their inner circle often envied their passionate love, not realizing that such intensity is sometimes responsible for unpleasant side effects. In their case, jealousy was one of the unpleasent side effects. Although Can had promised to work on himself after their major last fight, it was easier said than done.
Can fully trusted Demet, but he still became very aggressive whenever men approached her. Since they still kept their relationship a secret from the media, Demet was considered one of Turkey's most eligible bachelorettes, and she was receiving all kind of offers from random guys on a daily basis. Can almost got into few physical altercations when men abruptly approached her, and she slowly got used to him being overly protective of her. She knew his intentions were pure, and she knew how hard he worked on restraining himself when guys were making moves on her wherever they went. He was her lover and her personal bodyguard, and it made him even more attractive and loveable in her eyes.
Their relationship was often tested as the media kept publishing fake stories about them dating different people. Just like Can, Demet grew slowly but steadily jelous of her man.
One Thursday evening after filming, Can went out to a bar with his friends from law school and was photographed ordering a drink from a sexy female bartender. The following morning, it was all over the news that Can had spent the night with the bartender. Demet knew that the story wasn't true because Can came home to her that night, but she still ignited a fierce argument with him. She felt like the media frenzy surrounding them is making her crazy. Making her obsessively jealous, and that just wasn't who she was.
"If we can't trust each other, what is left for us?" He asked her.
"I just don't like it when I see pictures of you leaning over a girl that is not me." She answered with an attitude. "Who is this girl, Can?"
"Demet I was ordering a drink! How did you expect me to do it, through telepathy?!" He felt very frustrated. She was judging him for something he didn't even do.
She decided to stay by herself in her apartment that night, asking him to leave her alone to think.
"What exactly do you need to think about? What have I done to make you so furious?!" He asked feeling both baffled and upset.
"I just can't recognize myself anymore, Can. I feel like the entire world is against us and I don't know if I have the strength to fight the whole world. I just want us to be happy and for others to be happy for us. Is that too much to ask?" She said.
"Let me do the fighting, Demet. I will take care of everything. All of our friends and family support us, we support each other, and to me- that's all I need." He said. "If you want me to leave tonight, then I'll leave. But remember, if I leave then you're allowing your insecurities to destroy us, and there's nothing I can do against that."
"I've made up my mind, Can. I just need to be alone tonight." She said and couldn't even look in his eyes.
He furiously grabbed his car keys and slammed the door behind him.
