Chapter 3

When they recovered, they heard footsteps from behind them. They all turned to see a hooded figure. "You're the guy from my dream!" The three exclaimed. "Yes, now if you don't mind I have come to take what is rightfully mine." He commanded. "And what's that?" Emma questioned. "The artifacts of course. I need it to bring something into this world now if you don't mind-" He was cut off. "No, we know everything now and you aren't going to be releasing that horrifying beast of yours," Leo said. "Well, then I guess you should start running." He said. They all looked at each other and took off finding their way out of the cave only to see more hooded figures. They were able to escape and they all met at Emma's house and sat down to talk. "Who were those people?" Emma asked. "Avalons, they're The Avalons," Scarlett said. "Wait, how did you know that?" Leo questioned. "It was in my flashback, apparently my ancestors knew who they were," Scarlett answered. "We have to find a place to hide the artifacts," Leo suggested. "But they can just find it again so maybe we could use it against them," Emma said. "Does everyone know how to use their abilities?" Leo questioned. "Yeah, but maybe we could practice just in case," Emma said. "I say let us do it and save the world," Scarlett recommended while Leo and Emma nodded in agreement.

A couple of hours later, they learned how to control their abilities better and get along with each other. Then Emma thought hard and wondered why they were the descendants and why they got each animal. "Hey, have you guys ever wondered why we had the abilities of this one particular animal?" Emma questioned. "That's a good question like why did I get the abilities of the Lion?" Leo wondered. "I presume it has to do with our personality traits," Scarlett responded. "What makes you think that?' Emma questioned. "Just like a lion, Leo is very prideful and protective and you are very tenacious and fearless exactly like the Eagle," Scarlett answered. "And what makes you the snake?" Leo asked. "Like the snake, I am very intuitive and-" She was cut off by Leo and Emma. "Smart!" Leo and Emma said in unison. "Thanks, but that's what I'm guessing since I did my research."

After that, they stayed at Emma's house for the night. Emma gave them her guest room which had two beds so they can stay the night. Around 2:00 AM they heard a knock at the front door. Leo got up and went to get it only to find more hooded figures. "It's the Avalons!" Leo yelled and quickly closed the door. As they ran to the back door, the door broke down and the Avalons rushed in. "Give us the artifacts!" One Avalon commanded. "Why do you need them so badly? You just need them so you can release a horrid creature!" Emma yelled. "No! We're going to protect the Mortal Realm using the monster that we will summon." "Emma don't listen to them there lying!" Leo yelled trying to persuade her. "But what if they are telling the truth, Leo!" Emma screamed back. Emma didn't listen and tried to give them her artifact until Scarlett stopped her. "You have to believe us, Emma, they're trying to trick you!" Scarlett yelled using her confidence. Emma then nodded and they all ran out the back door.
