Song of the Day:
IDOL (because just WOW).....
Seongmin was exhausted.
Work that day had been a killer, with extra tasks given to the employees courtesy of their boss. Add in the constant worry Seongmin now felt about villains around the city and the uncontrollable tide of thoughts and theories about the heroes, and Seongmin felt like a bag of elephants had been dropped on her and then she'd been rolled down a hill.
When work was finally through, Seongmin peeled herself off the desk she'd been sitting at for nine hours, before dragging herself to the elevator, which her friend Chihun held open for her with a sympathetic smile on his face.
Seongmin flopped onto the handrail inside the elevator, dramatically placing the back of her hand on her forehead like a fainting actress in a cheesy horror movie. Chihun laughed as Seongmin hid a smile behind her arm.
"Tired?" Chihun asked her, leaning on the railing himself. Seongmin saw that he looked just as exhausted as her physically, but there was still that relentless spark of energy in his brown eyes that never seemed to go away.
Seongmin muttered an answer of agreement to his question, nodding slightly. She could barely keep her eyes open.
"Hey, want to come over later tonight? We can just relax, not really do anything." Chihun looked at her hopefully, and Seongmin couldn't deny him, despite her sleepy state, not with those huge chocolate coloured puppy eyes he was giving her.
"Yeah, I'll be there," she said, her mouth turning up in a slight smile despite everything. Chihun's eyes crinkled in happiness, and Seongmin suddenly felt the strong urge to pinch his cheeks.
I really need to stop with the cheek pinching, she thought. First Namjoon, now Chihun? What is wrong with me?
It must have been the exhaustion.
"Great!" Chihun said, clapping like a little seal. "I'll see you tonight."
Seongmin couldn't help but smile again at his antics. The elevator opened at that moment, and she walked out of the building with Chihun to her car. As she got in the driver's seat, she waved weakly to Chihun before driving out.
.....
"걱정하지마 난 너만의 남자, I CAN BE YOUR HERO!"
Seongmin jerked awake at the music blasting from her phone a few hours later. Heart racing, she quickly stopped the alarm going off next to her.
That alarm always scared her. She never remembered that she had set it to blast her awake with that song. It was a great song, after all, yet it still managed to make her heart skip a beat whenever it came on. (A/N: Monsta X stans where you at)
A moment later, when she'd safely recovered from nearly having a heart attack, Seongmin got out of bed and walked out to the street. Time to head over to Chihun's.
She'd taken a nice nap and was feeling slightly more energized, though still tired. As she'd hoped, she'd woken up early enough to walk to Chihun's house before it got too dark.
No need to be out past dark with the possibility of villains running around.
Seongmin walked down the street, humming the tune her alarm had played, finding herself stepping along to the beat and dancing slightly. She stopped when she earned a strange look from a group of old ladies, who she was pretty sure were the ones with the shopping carts she'd run into the other day.
