Hoseok POV

   "Hey, Hobi!"

The man behind the counter looked up, a smile quickly coming to his face as he caught sight of his friends. A pair of square rimmed glasses sat on the bridge of his nose, newly dyed brown hair long and falling in waves down to his ears. He was wearing a black sweater and grey pants, with his cream colored apron on over the outfit.

The call to him had come from Seongmin, who was walking with Namjoon and Jin. She was wearing a white and pink striped sweater and blue jeans, hair tied back in a ponytail. Hoseok couldn't help but think she looked like an anime character, with a light rose color dusting her cheeks from the chilly outside air.

Jin had styled his black hair back, off his forehead, a striking difference from his normal style. He also wore a black sweater and black jeans, but had on a pink backpack. Hoseok couldn't help but smile at the color contrast.

Then there was Namjoon. He was wearing a red sweater and white pants, a black book bag draped over his shoulder, hair styled back off his forehead like Jin's. Hoseok couldn't take his eyes off him for a moment, finding a blush coming to his cheeks at the sight of his friend.

Namjoon had no idea that Hoseok felt anything for him. Hoseok made every possible effort to conceal his feelings for his friend, not wanting anything to go badly between them. He'd always loved Namjoon like a brother, but as of this past year, he'd come to realize he had deeper feelings for his best friend. Today being Valentine's Day didn't help Hoseok at all, but he couldn't help but hope that maybe something would happen between the two. Not that he would initiate it, of course.

Hoseok stepped away from the counter, his shift having just ended, and went to sit with the three. Jin and Namjoon greeted him as well, and the friends started up a conversation.

"Valentine's Day again, huh? And still we're all singles!" Jin jokingly said. The others laughed.

"It doesn't even feel like it should be February already," Seongmin remarked. "It's been such a crazy year, I've lost track of time."

"Honestly! It's crazy how much everything has changed in just a year." This was Hoseok, still grinning widely.

"Agreed." Namjoon. Never one to say very much, Hoseok thought.

Jin suddenly smirked in such a mischievous way that Hoseok felt tempted to run. "Oh guys, guess what I have!" He drew out the words guys and have in a higher tone, and Seongmin looked like she could barely contain a laugh.

   "Jin, wha-"

Hoseok was cut off as Jin slammed a pack of Uno cards onto the table, causing both Namjoon and the older man to jump. Hoseok looked at the cards for a moment, then at Namjoon. The latter was staring down at the cards in a manner which suggested he was having flashbacks to the last time Jin had destroyed him at Uno. Hoseok burst out laughing, looking at Jin.

   "Oh, it is on!"

...

"For goodness' sake, Jin! How have you won fifteen games in a row?"

Jin smirked at Seongmin. "I'm just that good, sweetheart."

Seongmin rolled her eyes, though Hoseok noticed a light blush come to her cheeks at the nickname. He looked back and forth between them about to crack a joke, when suddenly his watch beeped.

"Dang it, my shift is starting back up. I have to go." Hoseok stood up, an apologetic look on his face. "Sorry, guys. Happy Valentine's Day though!"
