Namjoon POV

   "So... I can walk now?"

"Yeah, the nurse said you're cleared to walk... if you'll let me help you, that is."

Namjoon smiled softly at Hoseok, who returned a dimpled grin with the brightness of the sun. It had been several weeks since the attack, and Hoseok was almost completely healed, but he hadn't walked since that night, and he'd need a few days to get back on his feet.

Namjoon reached over and took Hoseok's hand, helping him to his feet before pulling his friend's arm around his shoulders. The elder took a breath before stepping forward, knees buckling almost immediately. He laughed and Namjoon smiled, though he was involuntary a bit worried.

Hoseok took another step, and this time fell sideways, Namjoon catching him before he could stumble too far. Hoseok looked up at him with bright eyes, his usual smile quickly following.

Namjoon couldn't help but admire Hoseok as they continued stumbling down the hallway, shooting sidelong glances at the older man. He really was handsome, with elegant high cheekbones, that bright dimpled smile, and dark shining eyes that bared his soul no matter what he was feeling.

Hoseok had never been good at hiding his feelings, making it easy for Namjoon to read him. A good thing, he guessed, as he was always able to tell when Hoseok needed support or just to laugh a bit, but it could hurt sometimes too.

Mainly because Namjoon knew Hoseok had no clue about the growing feelings Namjoon was holding back.

It had started so small, Namjoon just admiring Hoseok for his skill in dancing when he'd invited Namjoon to see a show by his dance group. Namjoon had been impressed, and that was putting it mildly. Hoseok was incredibly skilled.

But then, Namjoon had started to admire Hoseok's natural beauty a bit more, memorizing his facial features without meaning to. He'd found himself sneaking glances from across the room, his face a bit warm when he looked away.

It had taken a suspicious glance and a smirk from one of Namjoon's other friends for him to realize that he might have developed a small crush on his friend. From that day on, Namjoon had made sure to be more subtle about it, scared of making things awkward between himself and Hoseok.

However, no matter how he tried, after a point he realized that this crush wasn't going to fade with time. Hoseok's sweet little gestures, like his coming over and taking care of Namjoon when he had been sick, on top of that radiant smile, made that pretty much impossible.

For the moment, however, Namjoon tried to focus on taking care of his friend and helping him get back on his feet, attempting to ignore the fact that Hoseok's toned arm was draped over his shoulders and their sides were pressed together.

"You want to go outside?" Namjoon asked his friend, and Hoseok smiled.

   "Yeah, that sounds nice."

Namjoon smiled back at Hoseok, leading him to the hospital elevator. As they walked, Hoseok began to be a little more sure of his ability to balance, and moved his arm away from Namjoon's shoulders and instead sliding his hand down to slip into his friend's. Namjoon blushed hard but looked away quickly, staring intently at the glowing ground floor button instead.
