Hayes
"Babe," she found me looking at the box.
"Explain. Now," I stood up and held the box.
She knocked it out of my hand and tried to run to her room but I blocked her way.
"No more hiding Kaylin. Just tell me what's going on," I ordered.
"Fine," she grunted and went into my room. She sat on my bed and I sat next to her.
"Hayes I haven't been completely honest with my past. I didn't grow up in New York my whole life. I was actually born in Hawaii. My mom was a teacher and my dad was actually a bit of a con. So he taught me all I know and I used to steal shit. I ran a little ring when I was fifteen and we used to steal stuff from tourists mostly because it was easier. One night when I was seventeen I had my gang together and we were planning on hitting this one hotel. We did but we got caught by one of the bellboys. In retaliation I killed him. I couldn't live there anymore so I ran away and I kinda jumped from state to state for a while until I ended up in New York. I settled and started anew. That's why I ran away this time. It's all I know. I can't get through that again. This time it's gotten bigger and the police can't know who I am because they'll link me back to that murder I committed. I just can't Hayes," she explained, almost breathless after her confession.
I was astounded. I was so wrong about her. Her facade was flawless, as good as mine was when I tried to hide the fact that I was a skirt chaser. I didn't know what to think of her. But there was one thing I knew.
I still loved her.
"This is a lot for me to take in," I sighed.
"I knew you'd hate me," she got up but I held her wrist before she could walk away.
"I didn't say I hate you. I still love you and you freaked out both times. Of course this is a bit of a setback because now we have to figure out what our next move is but I trust that you'll get us out of this mess and I'll help," I said.
"I will. Trust me, I know how this works. A little too well and I will do whatever it takes to protect you," she sat down again and held my cheeks.
"You're quite a hottie when you're confessing all your sins aye," I bit my lip.
"I am?" she chuckled.
"Yeah," I smirked and kissed her.
"I swear even in a crisis you still want some," she giggled.
"Of course I do. I mean who could resist you?" I wrapped my arms around her and took her on that bed.
I wasn't gonna lie and say all this tension hadn't made me sexually frustrated.
