Temptation (Human Lapidot)

Lapis's POV
-

It's been a month since my breakup with Malachite. A month since I've seen Peridot. The night she came and saw me, it broke my heart that she just left like that. That night was the night I broke up with Malachite. I told her that I wasn't meant to be with her. Surprisingly she took it well, and moved out the next morning.

I was alone again, but I was ready to change that. I picked up my phone and scrolled through my contacts list until I found Stevens number. I tapped his name and waited for him to answer the call.

"Hello?"

"Hey Steven, do you know where Peridot is..?" I scratched my arm nervously.

"Oh! She's been staying with us until she can get back on her feet. Why?"

"I'll be over in 10." I hung up the phone and rushed around my house to find my keys. I walked outside and started up my motorbike.

I put on my helmet and started it up, then sped off to Stevens house. When I got there, Steven was outside on the porch.

"Hey Lapis!" He smiled.

"Hey Steven, how've you been?" I walked up the stairs to his porch.

"I've been good! What about you, how've you been?" He gave me a small hug.

"I've been okay." I smiled. "Where's Peridot?"

"Oh! She's inside on the couch." Steven walked towards the door and opened it. There she was, on the couch typing away on a laptop.

She didn't notice me at first, but once she looked up from her laptop her eyes widened.

"Hey.." I gave a small smile. Steven walked back outside, leaving Peridot and I alone.

"Oh- Hey.." She looked back down at her laptop and started typing again.

"I uh.. I wanna talk to you." I went and sat down on the couch next to her.

"Oh- Okay." She closed her laptop and sat it down on the coffee table. "What ya wanna talk about..?"

"Well- remember when you came and saw me the day you got out of prison..?" I paused for a moment, waiting for Peridots reply.

"Yeah, why?"

"I broke up with Malachite that night.. I felt so bad for leaving you like that." I sighed. "It broke my heart knowing that I broke yours.."

Peridot sighed. "It's okay, I shouldn't have been upset anyways. I expected you to move on, since I was there for a while." 

"I only got with her because I missed having someone.. I didn't like being alone."

"It's okay, Lapis. Don't worry about it." She gave a small smile.

I nodded. "Oh- one more thing.."

"Yeah?" Peridot looked at me, a bit of concern in her eyes.

"Do you think we could.. try again?" I rubbed the back of my neck.

"I was hoping you'd ask that." She smiled. "Of course, I feel like I'm missing something when I'm not with you."

I smiled. "Same here."

this chapters kinda short but I promise I'll make future chapters longer! I was at a twenty one pilots concert yesterday and it was gr8
