"Are you going to join us tonight? Pints on me mate, can't deny that." Josh Devine tries to tempt me again and I shake my head. Although Josh, the person who always refuses to pay is finally paying, I want to get some work done and get home and see my girlfriend.

"Really bud, I'm good. Have a sick time. I'm just gonna clock out late and head home."

He nods and bids me goodbye along with my other co-workers. I pull out another stack of papers and sigh. I really love going to the bar with my friends, but I need to get all this work done.

A couple hours later I'm sitting in my dark office, reading the last of the enormous amount of papers. Part of me is thankful that I did it all tonight, although I'd be coming home extra late. I lock up my office quickly and shut off the lights before departing to the elevator. I mindlessly press the button and wait for the elevator to reach the forty-eighth floor.

The elevator comes up a minute after I've pressed the button and I sigh in relief. I press the lobby 'L' number and watch as I pass the other floors.

From when I was a little boy I remember always wanting to work here at Marvel, and now I am. It was definitely earned, and every night I pass these floors in the elevator I can't help but feel blessed because of the opportunity I've been offered.

The elevator door opens abruptly, scaring me half to death. I step out and grab the keys to lock up the studio when I hear a voice screaming at me.

"Wait wait! Please don't shut the doors!"

I hold the door for the voice and almost fall as a boy with curly hair and a messy stack of papers bounds past me.

"Ah shit, that's just great. Good thing everything in my hand fell..." he mutters. I kneel down in front of him and begin to assist him in cleaning up the scattered papers.

"So sorry mate," he sighs, "I didn't mean to cause all this, I just didn't want to spend a night here."

"It's alright," I say, "I shouldn't have almost locked you out."

The boy stares at me for awhile and I'm unsure of what's he's doing. The thought gets pushed out of my mind when he begins to talk again;

"What's your name? Where do you work at the studio?"

"Oh," I become flustered, obviously not prepared to introduce myself, "I'm Niall, I work with the movie scripts and stuff, yknow..."

"Cool," he replies, "I'm Harry, uh, I'm the assistant CEO?"

My knees become wobbly and I gasp. Holy shit, I've almost locked out the assistant CEO.

"Holy fucking—oh my god I'm so sorry I locked you out, do you want me to wash your suit or something I—please don't fire me—"

"Niall Ni—Niall right? It's okay you don't have to worry, I'm not above you or anything."

"You can fire me." I say promptly, "But not this moment because—"

"I'm not firing you," Harry laughs, "I wouldn't want to anyway. You're like my cute little jitter bug. And every office needs one of those."

Harry winks and strides away, leaving me awestruck on the steps of the studio. I still feel guilty for almost trapping him in the building, so I make a note to get him a muffin basket tomorrow.

As I climb into my car, I realize my heart is skipping a couple beats faster. Shaking it off, I start my car and begin my long drive home.
