This one shot is incredibly rushed, but I couldn't stop myself from making this after seeing the videos of Millie dancing with David & Finn at the premiere's after party! This may not be my best work, but I hope you'll all find some enjoyment from it!
**PSA - I just wanted to disclaim that I have not seen any spoilers! So if you have, please don't comment anything about spoilers/reach out to me about them. Thank you all for understanding😊**

Life comes with piles of traditions that society celebrates. Many of them lack luster and meaning after the completion of childhood, but to some, they remain shiny and appealing. El had thankfully gotten to experience handfuls of lovely festivities in her life since the lab, yet, there was one that she still wished she could have participated in.
In elementary school, there was at least one father-daughter dance per year. The little girls would get all dolled up and ready to dance the night away with the most special man in their lives, but Eleven never got that. Instead, her childhood years were spent hauntingly swaying alone in a cold cell as she awaited her great escape.
It was the week before Willow's first father-daughter dance and Mike had taken notice of the small frown that was etched on his wife's porcelain face. He thought it could have been a lack of sleep as their nearly one year old son, Benny, had a habit of waking them up in the middle of the night. However, as the days ticked by, he noticed her mood had remained somber.
One morning after he had brought her breakfast in bed, Mike indulged by propping his chin up on her shoulder and analyzing her features. While she remained downright captivating and stunning, there was still a sorrow sense that lingered in her honey brown eyes.
Mike startled when she suddenly spoke, "why are you staring at me?"
He pressed his lips into the curve of her collarbone and murmured against her skin, "I didn't mean to stare, but you know me. I can never get over how beautiful you are."
A vivid blush swept across Eleven's cheeks like fire brushes across dry land. Without a second thought, she quickly set aside her remaining waffle and swiftly sat in her husband's lap. Not wasting another second, her lips met his with melting heat. Her tongue flickered along his bottom lip, giving Mike a taste of the sugary syrup that resided within her sweet mouth. A groan escaped him just a moment later when her fingernails grazed along his scalp as she properly left behind a blaring reminder of the love she withheld for him.
The pair detached a few moments later as their chests heaved for more oxygen. Once they caught their breath, Mike couldn't stop his concerns from tumbling out into the air.
"I'm worried about you, love," he spoke sincerely and began to nervously play with her fingers as he continued, "you've seemed sad the past few days, and I need to know what's bothering you. I could make it better."
El bit the inside of her cheek and downcast her eyes as she slowly replied, "it's nothing to worry about. I'm just being silly."
Mike smoothed small circles over her palm and probed gently, "I doubt it's anything silly. If something is upsetting you, then I can help. I promise I can—"
"You can't!" she abruptly said in a stern tone.
Although her minor outburst internally upset Mike, he didn't let it show. Instead, he followed his heart, as he knew keeping quiet would comfort his wife more than any words. He started to weave his long fingers through her bedridden curls and softly removed the knots he stumbled upon until her voice called for his attention.
"I'm sorry, I just—" her voice broke and a tear escaped from the corner of her eye as she whispered, "you and Willow have this big father-daughter dance coming up, and I'm so happy she has you. I know I got the chance to share a dance with my dad at our wedding, but it would've been so special to have a night with him like this when I was little."
