"You sure climbing this temple is a good idea?" a female voice nervously asked.

"Yeah, definitely!" the other voice answered. This Cookie wore a cowboy hat. "No explorin' this time, I just wanna show ya' the view!"

"I don't know, Adventurer..." The female grasped at a rock and pulled herself up. "I'm only just a housemaid..."

"My house is clean now!" Adventurer grinned. "You've got some spare time, so why not just enjoy this?"

Her amber eyes stared back at him, but she seemed to calm down a little.

"Oh, we're almost at the top," Adventurer noted, climbing up one more step. "Just follow me!"

She followed along, mimicking every step he took. At the end, Adventurer held out his hand and helped her up.

"Check this out..." Adventurer seated himself at the edge of the temple. "The sun's just beginning to set!"

She felt her mind clear as she sat down beside him and watched the blazing sun lower into the orange-tinted skies. Cotton candy clouds floated through the atmosphere. It almost seemed unreal.

"Woah... that is amazing."

Adventurer smiled back at her and said, "Whenever I go hunting, my discoveries can never outshine this beautiful sunset. Wouldn't you agree?"

Slowly nodding, she marveled at the sun, unable to respond. She was so happy she came here.

The two watched the sun set into the horizons for a few more minutes. Then, without warning, a deep rumble emerged from the ground.

"What's that?!" The female Cookie sprung up, alerted.

"This has never happened before... what could it be?" Adventurer got up as well.

All of a sudden, the pillars above them began to shake. Then crumble. Then collapse. One of the beams headed right towards the female, but Adventurer shoved her out the way. The pillar landed between them, separating the two.

Before Adventurer could climb over or check on the other, he heard a scream from his partner and a popping noise.

Frantically, he forced himself up and stumbled over the pillar. When he landed on the ground, she was gone. The only things left in her place was the orange bandana she always wore and a couple red beads.

"Nononono, this can't be happening-" he breathed, shakily picking up the bandana. As he grabbed the beads, he quickly realized that they were tiny pieces of red fruit. "Who could have done this?"

Adventurer surveyed the pieces of fruit. They were long and shiny, and popped when he pressed on them too hard. They weren't here before.

He knew she couldn't have died or fallen somewhere. That only meant someone abducted her.

Adventurer stood to his full height and tied the bandana on his neck. His eyes were ablaze with a new determination. He needed to find her. No matter what it takes.

With that, he dropped the seeds on his ground and began his descent down the temple, where the fiery red sun shone on him with a flaming resolve.

He wouldn't let this happen to anyone ever again.
