(A/N: I'm probably going to at least start this chapter on my phone so if it's short/sucky/looks weird I'm sorry!)

"I am not your girlfriend" I grit through my teeth.

Liam laughs again, "Not yet, Darling."

Despite how much I want to hate him, I can't deny how much I love his laugh. The way his eyes crinkle when he does, and the way his straight white teeth show, surrounding are his perfect pink lips. I just love that.

"Liam! You brought a guest!" I hear a man's voice exclaim. I turn to see a man shorter than Liam by about a good three inches, but their facial features are similar. Their chocolate brown eyes are identical. The man engulfs me in a hug. I hug back. Liam's jaw clenches, "Geoff, Claire. Claire, Geoff," he says in an aggravated tone.

"Hello Principal Payne," I say as we pull away.

"You're a student at the school? And American?" He asks, as if he's never encountered one before.

"Yes, sir," I reply.

So far, Principal Payne seems pretty nice. I don't understand why Liam hates him so much.

"Well, Claire. Let me introduce you to my girlfriend, Magdaline." He tells me. As if on cue, a girl with brown curly hair walks out in a long red dress. No doubt she's beautiful and young.

"I thought you only had two kids?" She asks.

"One is Liam's uhmm..." Principal Payne starts.

"She's my-" "Tutor," I interrupt Liam.

I look over at him and he rolls his eyes. "Yeah," Liam says, "Tutor."

Part of me wants to laugh at Liam's remark, but another wants to... I don't know. I can't really explain what the other part wants. It's confusing and hard for me to explain.

"Well, dear, This is my son, Liam and my daughter Emma. Here is Liam's ... Uhh... tutor, Claire." Even Principal Payne feels how awkward that is to say.

"Geoff's chef, Margret has made a delicious meal for us to eat, hasn't she?" Magdaline says to us, then motions to Principal Payne.

"Margaret's the best chef around. Let's go eat, shall we?" Geoff says taking Magdaline's hand.

Okay, I admit that it was pretty weird and gross that Liam's dad's girlfriend was just in college, but still both seemed very friendly. Emma, Liam, and I walk over to a huge formal dining room. I've honestly never seen one so elegant or huge. The whole room was bigger than my New York Apartment. It had a huge chandelier in the middle that was full of dangling crystals. The table was made of glass and covered in food, as if the chef thought 5 hippos were guests at her dinner table rather than 5 people. Liam puts his arm over my shoulder, my body tenses at first, not used to the touch, but once I realize it's Liam, my body calms down a little. I don't entirely know if I can trust Liam, but I kind of want to. He's going to my school, I'll be his tutor, I'd rather not be fighting all the time.

"Like the room?" Liam whispers in my ear.

"It's beautiful" I admit.

He mumbles something under his breath to where I cant hear. I choose to ignore it. Liam pulls my seat out for me. I smile and thank him. Tonight, Liam is acting like a completely different person. I don't know if it's because he know his sister will kill him if he's not nice to me, or if his Dad will kill him for being rude, but I like this new Liam, sadly, I don't know if he truly exists.

"So Claire," Principal Payne starts off, "How long have you been attending Riverbank High?"

So much stuff has gone on, I've forgotten I only moved here a few days ago. Everything has happened to me so fast.
