•.•.Liam's POV•.•.
I venture through my nearly empty house as my sister and I clean up the aftermath of our party. I take a cigarette out and light it.

"You honestly need to stop, Liam." Emma says.

I roll my eyes and ignore her.

"What happened with you last night, anyway?" Emma asks.

"I don't want to talk about it," I snap.

"You'll have to talk about it eventually. I can't believe you'd use Demi like that. It's sickening, Liam. You're leading her on." Emma tells me, as if I'm a child.

"If she doesn't want me she can walk away any time. Why are you so nosy, anyway?" I sharply reply.

"I don't know, maybe I'm trying to protect my friend from my brother. It doesn't seem to be working out that well , because she was drunk and had her hands all over Louis. Louis was shocked but I could tell he liked it, Liam. You're walking into a death trap. You and Louis have been great friends since 4th grade. I'm trying to prevent drama when it seems all you're doing is causing it." Emma says.

I ignore her, but I can't ignore the fire roaring in my chest out of envy.

"Mind your own business, Em, will you?" I snap back, and walk up to my room.

I take out a pencil and a paper. I start drawing, at this point, I don't care what I draw. Art is my escape from this cruel world. The paper doesn't judge me, nor do I judge the paper. Different strokes with the pencil are made, different shapes, then, I'm finished. It's her. Her green eyes, her red hair. Her. I put my pencil down and put it my book that reads "DO NOT OPEN," and sigh. Claire does things to me I can't explain. Sigh. I look around my room at my drawings. I walk into the bathroom and grab my favorite drawing. The boardwalk... The quotes... The water... That dream... I can't get any off my mind.

I place the drawing above my bed and smile. Theres a knock on my door.

"Come in" I say.

The girl I had drawn moments before walked into my room, still wearing my clothes. She looks so... Ugh. I feel like if she's in my clothes... She's mine... She has a part of me... Even though it's something as simple as clothing.

"Do you want your clothes back?" She asks.

"No, you can keep it, " I tell her.

"Really?" She asks, biting her lip trying to avoid smiling. She doesn't realize she does it, but it's adorable.

"Yeah," I tell her and give her a warm smile.

"Thanks for the clothes," she tells me and smiles. The same smile in my drawing book, "Happy New Years, Liam. See you at our next session," she says.

"Yeah. See you, Claire." I say. My heart hurts to see her leave. I've known this girl for about a month. She makes me feel things I never have before. Sheaves me want her, but I turn her down. She deserves better. She doesn't deserve Louis either. When I see them together, I don't like it. Not one bit.

When we get back to school the following week, I get on my bike and go myself. Normally I go with Louis and Zayn, but not today. I've got someone to pick up... I drive my motorcycle up to her drive way and knock on her door. The four-ish year old girl I see sometimes during tutoring sessions, stands in front of me.

"Can I talk to your sister?" I ask.

The little blonde girl smiles, and says, "Sissy!! Liam's here!!"

Claire looks through the door with a confused face. She has one eye of make up done, and looks confused.

"Need a ride to school today, love?" I ask.

She tries not to smile, but fails.

One of the things I love about Claire is her smile. I walk in the house. Her house is fairly nice. It's... normal. Nothing like my own. My extravagant house sometimes feels like a prison cell...

A few moments later, Claire comes down fully dressed and ready.

"Ready, Love?" I ask.

"It's just a ride," she says.

"You're welcome," I sarcastically remark.

She rolls her eyes , then sees the motorcycle.

"Mine goes much faster than Louis's my friend. Much faster." I smirk.

She laughs and says, "Sure."

I hand her an extra helmet, as I put mine on.

She gets on the back of my bike, "Ready?" I ask.

"As ready as I'll ever be." She tells me.

"Hold on tight," I say.

She puts her arms around my waist, and I start the bike.

Instead of school, I drive to a meadow-like hill.

Once I stop, we get off. Claire says, "Liam, this isn't school."

"You're right," I assure, "Good job Einstein."

"Liam! I've never skipped school, and do not plan on it." She stresses.

"There's a first time for everything," I say.

"Seriously," she says, "I don't want to get in trouble!"

"I never do. And my Dad is the principal, Darling." I assure again.

Claire looks down, looking scared. I lift her chin, and look her in the eyes.

"C'mon, one day. It won't hurt. I've got stuff to show you. I'll do anything," I tell her.

She sighs, and looks down.

"But... School..." She says.

"You'll go tomorrow. Like the rest of us," I tell her.

"If we get caught, you're dead," she tells me and points her finger.

"Yes ma'am," I tell her and laugh."C'mon, I want to show you my favorite spot."

As we walk, I want to hold her hand, but then I think of Louis... Though he isn't the nicest, he is my friend...

What do I do...
