Before we walk in the gigantic house, Louis grabs my hand. I look at him and he smiles. I return the smile, and we walk in.
The party looks a lot more like a fraternity party than a high school party. Music is blaring, girls are wearing dresses that are obviously way too short. Sweaty bodies filled with alcohol dancing everywhere. The house looks completely different from when I came here last time. Everything was in perfect order, then. Now, nothing has a place. No one has a place. Everything is scattered about. It's insane.
"You came!" I hear Emma's voice say.
I turn around to see her in the blue and black dress we went shopping for not long ago.
"You look better in that dress than you did when you tried it on, I promise you," Emma compliments me.
"Thanks, Em." I say and smile.
She sees Louis and glares at him, as if he's done something wrong... Has he? I don't think so... Louis has been nothing but nice since I've moved here. Louis's face stands emotionless. As is Emma isn't even there.
"Ashley! Oh my gosh you look amazing!" Emma tells Ashley.
"Thank you, Emma Lou." She jokes, "you look amazing yourself" she honestly says.
Both Emma and Ashley look stunning in the dresses we bought. I know this might sound really clichè, but I don't really know if I look that good in this dress. I know everyone says so, but mines so long. I just... I'm doubting myself, now. Its the truth.
"Let's dance," Louis says, as he brings me to the dance floor.
"I can't dance," I admit.
"It doesn't matter, everyone's drunk" he says.
He's got a point. Everyone is pretty wasted. I start out with small dances, then they start to escalate. None if my dances are sexual, but I do accidentally bump into a few people. I turn to look at Louis, but he's not there.
"Louis?" I call.
Great. I lost my date.
I move through the crowds of people trying my best to find Louis. I continuously call for him, but receive no response. I continue to look for him, until I realize I've gotten lost in this mansion. I find a set of stairs and climb them. My heart begins pounding out of sacredness. The stairs lead me to an empty hallway. Well, nearly empty. I see a blonde-haired boy at the end of the hallway, bottles surrounding him. Niall.
"Niall!" I call.
He looks up at me. His eyes are bloodshot. He has about Ten bottles of beer around him and one in his hand. Niall's blonde hair is a mess. His poor blue eyes show so much pain.
"Are you alright, Niall?" I ask him calmly.
"He brought her here," he says.
"Who, Niall?" I ask him.
"He had no right!" He screams and throws an empty bottle across the hall.
"Niall!" I yell with warning.
"Why?!" He yells, stands up, and bangs a beer bottle onto the wall, breaking it. Niall's face is filled with anger. So much anger I can't describe it. He falls down the wall and whispers, "Why, Claire? Why did he bring Demi? I guess that's why they call him what they do. Not because it's his last name, no that can't be the reason. It's because that's what he causes people to feel. You of all people know that Claire. You know that's what he inflicts on people. Pain. That's what Liam Payne does."
I'm shocked at Niall's words. He really likes this girl. He likes her so much he'd drink to ease the pain...
"Niall, you should get home-"
