Paige's POV
"So how'd the interview go?" I asked Sofia.
She seemed jittery and nervous, like she's done something wrong.
"What's with you? You're so jumpy!" I giggled. She glanced up from her book and smiled shyly.
"On come off it! Yes you're shy but not around us! Spill what's up." I commanded.
"What? No nothing! Leave me alone! I didn't ask for an interrogation so don't give me one!!!" I screamed and ran to the elevator.
"Hi Paige!" Alyssa chirped as she walked by, arm in arm with her best friend, LeAnn.
"Hi Alyssa, hi LeAnn."
"Have you seen Sofia? I would like to do a followup interview. Our readers loved it!" She explained.
"She just went that direction." I pointed towards the elevators.
"Thanks Paige. Any chance you've seen Chloe while I'm here?
"Nope. Bye." I strolled away before she could ask anymore questions. I swear, she's gonna be a writer.

Maddie's POV
I stumbled into school, embarrassed to be myself. How could I betray Abby and ALL my friends like this. I should have stepped in. We could still be at Whitman.
"Maddie!" Josh stuttered.
"That's my name, don't wear it out." I replied tightly. I hated Josh Hyland. I hate, hate, hate him.
"I can explain everything. You have every right to hate me, but please just listen-" I cut him off.
"I don't have to do anything okay Josh? Let's just forget everything that was ever between us. Besides, I think your girlfriend Chloe wouldn't like us talking."
He looked like I just stabbed him in the heart.
"Oh Maddie....
I loved you."
My eyes almost bugged out of my head. Josh Hyland LOVED me.
I said the first thing that came out.
"If you loved me Josh, you would have told me about this instead of dumping me and pretending it didn't happen. You pretended like nothing happened. You are nothing but a coward. I will NOT date a coward. I thought about killing myself because I wasn't good enough for you. No apology is worth all of the pain I felt during those months. No person is worth that. Goodbye Joshua Hyland."
And that was the last time I saw Joshua Hyland.
