Chapter 36 Breakaway

Maddie's POV

"What secret Chloe? Tell me now." I demanded.

Chole looked pale.

"Chloe!" I screamed.

She looked down and played with her necklace.

"CHLOE!!!"

Chloe started to cry and ran out the door.

I was sad, scared, confused, and mostly... Angry! She has never kept a secret from me. Ever!

Brooke's POV

During the entire dance class, Chloe, Paige, and Maddie were glaring at each other.

It was really... awkward.

"OK everybody! Focus! Today we are going to learn the final number for the beloved dance battle! We will all be participating." Miss Hannah yelled over the dancers. Everybody clapped and cheered. Some of the boys even wolf whistled.

I couldn't help feeling they were clapping for the other team.

"Chloe! Focus on the dance! You're supposed to go left." Paige screeched.

"I'm sooooorry!" Chloe cried, tears sputtering from her eyes like a whiny fountain.

"What is wrong with you guys??? What did we miss?" Kendall sighed.

"Nothing. Back to work." Maddie answered... a little too quickly. I knew my sister. That face. Her brows high, a slight frown, her annoyed/pissed off.

"I'm going to get a drink." Nia announced. "Anyone wanna come?"

"I'm good." Maddie answered, pulling out her water bottle. Nia slowly strolled away, smiling sadly. Nia has always been the peace maker of our group, just like her mom. She loves to help other people. For example, some Minor (a younger dancer from the age to 2-7) came up to her all sad and when she asked what was wrong, the little girl said she didn't have any water. So Nia gave her her whole water bottle.

"Paige... I moment please?" I told more than asked.

"She frowned then hesitatly got up.

"What?" She tapped her foot on the ground.

"What the hell? Did someone stick a twig up your freaking ass?" I spat.

"You know what? I don't need this!" Paige huffed as she stomped away.
