BORUTO's POV
Just One more months before getting a place in the company. Right now, i'm an intern at our company, like one of the normal works my dad also used to do before being the CEO
"Mr.Uzumaki, a call from Lady Sarada at line 1" i heard Mike call from the phone
"Yes. Thank you" i replied then pressed the button 1
"Hi Boo!" Sarada Greeted
"Hello... how's your day?" I asked her as i sign some papers
"Just the usual stuff... but tomorrow is my promotion! I'll be a Red Belt!!" She screamed from another line
"Oh really? What time is it? I'll be there" i said tidying the table
"It's 7am but the match starts at 9am, so you can either come at 8am or 9am" she explained
"Yeah sure... want anything before i go home?" I asked her
"Nahh... i'm trying to maintain my weight! Geez after the promotion let's eat out with Hima!" She suggested
"Yeah sure... i gotta go now, I'll see you in the morning" i said waiting for her reply
"Yeah... i'll see you, take care" she said and hunged up first
Sighed. I know i probably look stupid right now, but i can't help smiling. She's been there since my father disappeared. When she knew about that, she never leave my side, when i was getting criticized by older people she was there. And now i'm being with her side, you probably don't know but her father, uncle sasuke was shot and in coma for the past few weeks. He was protecting Sarada when a group of people ambushed them and he shielded Sarada from the gun shots
"..... oo!"
".... Boo!"
"Hey Boo!" I got startled when Hima suddenly slap me a little
"I've been calling you for several times and you just smiled there like a pervert... ugh" she said laughing at me
"I was just thinking, ok?" I said and point at the couch as i stand and we walk there to sit after calling my secretary to get us some refreshments
"So... why are you here?" I asked her
"Well... as we both know, next month the company would be handed to you, and I'll be the vice president, but i was thinking... maybe i should resign and start something new?" She hesitantly asked
"What do you mean?" I asked confused
"Well... it's been 11 years since Dad disappeared... and you know that glow in Mom is not what it used to be... so i was thinking of setting up a private Search... just us two knowing and the people i'll hire...?" She said in a happy but sad face
"Here's your drinks Ma'am. Sir" my secretary knocked and place our drinks
"Thanks" i said and she left
"But... why did you suddenly thought ofthat?" I asked her
"I'm.... just sad. To see Mom smilling at us but seeing her eyes longing for dad? It's not like it's confirmed that Dad is actually gone. Maybe he surived and just washed off to some island unknown to public?"
"That could be a possibility... but are you really sure? I could use some help in the office too"
"You? I'm sure you can handle it like a pro..." she said punching my biceps
"Ok. I'll provide some facilities and people for you, with equipments and all.... just promise to call me every end of the day to make sure you're safe" i said looking at her intently
"Thanks Twiny!" She said and jumped to hug me
"Sure thing Hima" i said stoking her long hair
"I'm sure if i found Dad, Mom would be so happy" she said
"Yes.. anything for our parents" i said and we both bump our fist as a sign of our oath and then we both went back to our work
1 Month Later
We're currently at one of our Hotel to hold the ceremony and press conference about Uncle Shikimaru stepping down as the President of Uzumaki parts and tools and U-nion and etc and me taking up the position as promised with my father's will...
"Boruto..." i heard uncle Shikimaru called and as i turned around i saw the poker-faced-always-sleepy-and-bored face of his smiled genuinely as he looked at me
"Congratulations... I'm sure your father would've been so proud of you if he's here... or wherever he is... I'm sure he'll be jumping in excitement as he retire because he will spend his remaining days with his Love" he said patting my shoulder as he gazed at my mother who is talking happily with aunt sakura
"I sure hope he does... and thank you Uncle Shikimaru... for everything" i said placing my long arm in his broad shoulder
"Oh and I'll try copying your beard... i really like it" i said complimenting his small black beard
"Oh please don't i just hardly had the time to shave and don't try to hide your whiskers with it... that's your family birthmark" he said trying to pull my two whiskers
"Oh don't worry i won't hide it-" i was disturbed when shikidai suddenly appeared infront of us with Chou Chou
"Shikadai! Chou chou! Long time no see, when did you came back?" I asked him
"I arrived last week but i got caught up with transferring" answered Chou chou who is now a young sexy 18 years old women
"You look beautiful!" I complimented her as i kissed her in the cheeks
"And i just arrived yesterday, they just couldn't let us go there.." Shikadai replied as we man hugged
They studied abroad, and just came back here for the ceremony
"Thanks for your efforts guy" i said
"Bu the way, were you talking about beards? Eww, guys are talking about beards are gross ugh" Chou Chou said joking
"Well joking aside, the ceremony is about to start, go to your places now" uncle Shi said in a serious tone and we all nodded
"Congrats again dude!" Shikadai said as we fist bump and parted ways
