"Babe! Your phones' ringing." I pushed my hair back behind my ear sitting down next to his phone.
"Hey! Hey, I got that." He rushed over sliding up his pants walking off. I looked him up and down suspiciously biting my lip. Joesph had been acting out of the ordinary since our first night together, at first I chunked it up to being nervous but now I wasn't so sure. He was always with the sneaky phone calls and disappearing. He walked back in the room with a smile on his face making me laugh. "What?" "Guess who just got us tickets to the Jazz Fest tonight." I smiled with excitement feeling happy and relieved. "No you didn't!" "Yes I did!" He laughed as I hugged him tight. Joesph knew my love for Jazz and he knew I wanted to make it.
"You are amazing to me." I pecked his lips slowly with my arms wrapped around his neck. "Yeah I decided I need to get out the dog house, Olivia texting me really messed you up." I slowly nodded clearing my throat. "Has she text you anymore since then?" "Nah, I blocked her number so she couldn't. I mean she has Trey Songz so I don't see why she still on me." He said jokingly making me give him a side eye. That was a good point. Olivia had been so underneath Trey's thumb since the guy had a bird chest and braids so why mess it up?
Olivia was my girl and it's hard to even think she'd do me like that. But then again Joesph had proof.
"Baby can I read those messages again?" "For what?" He chuckled pulling his shirt over his head. "The messages are deleted." He walked up to me grabbing my face with a corny smile. "I'm all yours." "Yeah." I gave him a kiss walking away. I felt my stomach turn just thinking about it, Joesph was handsome but having Trey Songz in love with you was a different story. I shrugged it off getting dressed, I wasn't about to let this ruin my day.

"You know I have big plans for the club. I'm be the Beyoncé of all parties." Joesph said making me laugh. We decided to do dinner before the Jazz festival. Joesph wants to skip right to dessert after the show and that was just fine with me.
"I know you're gonna be great. All that business is going to be good money for you." He grabbed my hand making me sit my wine glass down. "It's gonna be good money for us baby." He kissed my hand causing me to blush. "Keep your word on that because I'm a woman who likes to shop." "Oh I know." We both laughed.
"You know this weekend I'm going down to my mom's house in Houston. I know it's kind of early in our relationship but I was hoping you'd like to tag along." I smiled looking him up and down. "I'd love that." It felt good to have a man who actually wanted to show me off, especially to the most important woman in his life. "It's a road trip then."
I nodded eating my pasta. "Hey I want to ask you something but promise not to get angry or anything." He lightly chuckled. "What is it?" "Say we didn't know each other at the time and I was talking to one of your homegirls and we had sex. Would you still want me?" My eyes grew wide as I looked at him stupid.
"Please tell me you and Olivia did not have sex." I shook my head tossing my fork on my plate. "It was a one time deal in my backseat." "I can't believe you!" I stood up throwing the napkin in his face before walking to the door. He called my name but I was only worried about getting away from his ass and quick.
I went on my Uber app looking for a driver so I could go home. "Ciara please don't do this! It didn't mean nothing to me I just didn't want any secrets between us!" "Why didn't she tell me? Hmm! She would've told me about that." I shook my head knowing she'd never let me have her seconds. "Because she probably didn't want her and Trey ruined. Think about it baby, why would she be so mad about us being together?"
He grabbed my hand looking into my eyes. "Why would she text me?" I stood there thinking about it feeling sick. I couldn't believe I didn't see all the signs right there. Olivia was so use to being the good one that she didn't want to admit sleeping with Joesph knowing her and Trey had something. "I just need some space right now Joesph." I shook my head drying the tears that were threatening to fall. "Wait! Space?" He asked gripping my arm making me look at him. "I'm sorry." He released me clearing his throat. "I told you the truth baby."
"Yeah after sleeping with me a few times!" He shook his head knowing he fucked up. "Look, I'm sorry Ciara I really am. We are both adults here so I'm keeping it real with you. I thought Olivia was real enough to tell you." He shrugged looking at me. I sat quietly believing him. He couldn't have pulled this out of thin air, Joesph was in my life for a reason and I wasn't willing to risk that. He saved me when I needed it the most so I owe him.
"Look, I'm go in here and pay for the bill. You just sit here and continue to look pretty, after this we're going to the Jazz Fest." He jogged back inside making me smile.
I hated that me and Olivia were going through shit like this. She was supposed to be my girl and to let a man come between us made it even worse.
I looked up at the night sky and tall buildings smiling at how beautiful the lights were. "Perfect right?" Joesph snaked his arms around me making me jump and laugh. "You play too much!" I pushed his arm making him stumble back and laugh. "I'm sorry, you were asking for it." "I bet I was." He hugged me rocking us back and forth. "Let's go to this festival before we do more than just rock." He looked down at me with a corny grin making me laugh.
Been gone .. I'm back.. I'm honestly trying to write enough to the point I can publish every week but I'm need that time. I have this book, "Becoming Mrs. Smith" & a book I'm working on for personal enjoyment 😊. I like writing when I feel like it's not a job. Hate deadlines but I hate to disappoint too😕😂 anyways...
