I rolled over in my comfy bed hugging the pillows I missed oh so much. It was good being home but the gloomy weather made me want to run away.

My phone started ringing making me roll back over seeing it was my mother.

"Ma'am?" I pushed my hair out my face putting the phone up to my ear. "Girl wake up its almost twelve in the afternoon, I prepared Sunday dinner and everything. I invited Trey over." I hopped up out the bed hitting my knee on the nightstand. "Shiiit!" I looked down seeing a little scratch that was bleeding. "Watch your mouth Olivia!" I shook my head sitting on the edge of the bed. "I'm sorry mama but why did you invite him? He's a busy man and doesn't have time for Sunday dinner with my crazy folks."

"I do have time." My eyes widened hearing his voice over the phone. "Why are you there?" "Because she invited me and it's rude not to accept an invite." I rolled my eyes getting up out of bed. "Don't say anything about last night, I'll be there in an hour." I hung the phone up tossing it on the bed.

I walked in my bathroom turning on the shower.

The hot water hitting my face was like heaven on earth. Last night was a night I knew I was going to remember. I hated to admit it but I think I'm falling even harder for the man. It's been only a few weeks since my confession and it already felt like he was giving me the world. Everything he said to me last night was so beautiful and sweet but there was still stubborn Liv in the back of my head telling me not to believe him.

"This is what he does for a living Olivia, making women feel special."

"He's lying, just walk out the door."

"Play drunk and see if he takes advantage of you, if he does he's not the one."

I told myself those things all night but he didn't only make me feel special but safe. I didn't think he was lying, my gut told me he was telling me the truth which scared the hell out of me. When I played drunk he only laughed and called me an Uber home when dinner was over.

It's not that I think Trey's out of my league but that he's worshipped by beautiful women all around the globe. I know a man is just a man and men strongly lean towards temptation. I didn't want those tears running down my eyes seeing my bestfriend and lover cheating on me. I didn't want to be stuck in the house surrounded by food and Netflix being depressed over a man.

I turned off the shower grabbing my towel to wrap around myself. I was just going with a simple cute shirt and some nice skinny jeans. I wasn't going to put anything sexy on for the sake of my mama. "He got you dressing up now?" She'd say. Then I'll slickly blush but she would catch it and make a big deal out of it.

I lathered my body in oil spraying on my perfume so it will stay. Maybe this Sunday dinner was just what we needed to make things sort of more official.

"Finally girl! Come on it here and help me cut up these potatoes. I kicked Trey out because he didn't know what he was doing. He's out back with your uncle Jalen." My mama pulled me in the door before I could even say hey or anything.

"Well hey mama how are you doing today? Did you have a good nights sleep?" She stopped in her tracks laughing and shaking her head. "I'm sorry baby, it's just I'm so happy to have you over today. Your uncle has been on one since he's gotten up, and London is running late with my pie crust." I grabbed her shoulders before giving her a hug. "Calm down mama, everything is going to come together." She smiled touching my cheek.

Trey and my uncle Jalen walked back inside the house laughing about whatever.

His eyes landed on me making him smile. "Wassup?" He pulled me close pecking my lips. "Woah nephew!" My uncle said as my mama sat there with the biggest grin on her face. I laughed a little embarrassed, "can I talk to you?" I didn't even give him a choice, I grabbed his hand walking into the hallway away from them.
