CHAPTER FIFTEEN
SO SCREWED

TIME SKIP
DAY TWENTY

Y/N

Saturday's were normally reserved for Woojin but I had called Chan to ask if he wanted to come hang out with us too. We were just gonna spend the day in the house so I didn't see a problem with inviting him over. Woojin had stayed the night because we passed out on the couch watching movies.

He wasn't coming over until later in the day though when Woojin left for work. I didn't know how well Minho would react to seeing Chan but I wanted him here.

Stop falling. I told myself. I couldn't fall for him. I couldn't let him win. When Woojin was getting ready to leave, the door bell rang and I got up from the couch. I opened the door and saw Chan standing there. "Hi," I greeted with a small smile and opened the door wider letting him in.

"Hey, is Woojin still here?"

"Yeah, he's upstairs getting ready for work." I answered. Chan nodded and I shut the door behind me. Minho was still sitting in the recliner and turned his head when he heard Chan's voice.

"Why is he here?"

"Because I invited him." I answered with a slight snide.

"And just because you're still healing, Min, doesn't mean I won't beat your ass if you pick a fight." I added walking into the living room with Chan behind me.

"Alright, alright." Minho throws his hands up in defeat. Woojin comes downstairs fixing his jacket and looked over at me. He stared at me for a second before he looked over at Chan and I saw a flash of hurt in his eyes for a second before it disappeared.

I looked down at me feet, grabbing Chan's hand and walked into the living room. We took a seat on the couch and Minho looked over at Woojin with a sad smile who just brushed it off.

"Hey, can you try to make amends with Woojin and Minho?"

I asked Chan when we settled into a comfortable position on the couch. Chan turns his head slightly to look at me, his eyes were full of confusion.

"Why? I have done nothing to them." Chan speaks, emphasizing on nothing.

"I just- they're my best friends, Chan. I can't have them hating you or you hating them. Can you just try to be their friend, please?"

Chan lets out a sigh, hitting his thigh with his hand softly.

"I- I guess."

"Thank you."

••••

It's been a few hours since Chan showed up. We've been in the living room with Minho watching marvel movies. We were currently on Captain America: Civil War.

It was my personal favorite out of all movies.

"I'm just saying-"

"I don't care. Tony and Steve are completely different people with completely different views on thing. It's stupid to compare them."

"Okay, but-"

"Nope, shut up. The conversation is over, Minho." Chan chuckled next to me. I take notice to Minho giving me the finger in the corner of my eye.

"I saw that."

I stood up from the couch grabbing, the once full bowl of popcorn, off the coffee table. I walked into the kitchen and heard chuckling coming from Chan and Minho.

I poured more popcorn into the bowl then made my way back out to the living room where Chan and Minho were debating on Tony and Steve again.

"Didn't I already sort this out with you two idiots?"

"Y/N, how can you not be biased against one of them?" Minho asks.

"It's simple, really. They are both amazing heroes that do anything and everything they can to save lives. I mean yeah, Steve has some superhuman abilities because of a serum but even without that, he was stll capable of being a hero because of who he is at heart. Tony has the heart of hero but he didn't realize it until after he was held in captivity. Even without the suit, he could still save lives. They can both still save lives because of how good they are at heart. Tony just took some time to figure it out while Steve as always known but that does not mean that one is better then the other."

Both boys stared at me with wide eyes and I just sat down stuffing my mouth with popcorn.

"I-"

"Alright, that- that right there should be published and end all debate on this topic because I am sold."

"I second that." Chan smiled.

••••

"I will see you tomorrow."

Chan smiled, placing a soft kiss on my cheek before leaving. I slowly shut the front door, biting my bottom lip with a small smile on my lips.

Oh god.

I'm falling for him. I can't fall for him, I can't. Being with him feels real. Our relationship feels real but it's not. That's what I need to remember.

I need to remember that it's fake. Chan and I are not together. It's all fake.

"I need to be slapped in the face." I mumbled to myself. I couldn't believe myself. I can't let myself fall for him.

It's only been twenty days, I'm halfway there. Just a few more weeks and then I never have to see him again. Why does that make me feel so sad though?

The idea of actually falling for him tortured me but I couldn't tell if it was a good thing or a bad thing. He is so sweet to me but a dick to everyone else. He treats me so well, never talks down to me but he is the exact opposite at school.

I walked into my room, pulling my phone out from my pocket. I had a few messages from Chan and I laughed lightly. He just left.

Chan

I know I just left but I just
wanna say that I had fun today.
I'll see you tomorrow.
Goodnight, x.

Goodnight, x.

I pulled up my messages with Woojin, sending him a one line text before heading to bed as it was already after 2:30 in the morning.

I am so screwed.
