“Hello.” Sunny answered his phone.
“Sunny! Finally, sinagot mo din. I've been calling you for I don't know-“
“Eco, I'm busy, okay?!” putol niya sa bestfriend niya. Of course he knew na kanina pa siya nito tinatawagan, and he just ignored it. He's not feeling well, elang days na. Ang gulo din ng isip niya. He was wondering why everytime he woke up lahat ng napapanaginipan niya parang bulang naglalaho sa isipan niya. Simula yata ng mag-twenty siya, nagsimula na siyang magka-lost memory sa mga panaginip niya. He didn't care at first, but lately he got to be frustrated. Pakiramdam niya, there's something wrong with him and he needs to find out.
“Sunny, are you still there?” untag sa kanya ni Eco. Nagulat pa siya rito, kanina pa pala siya nakatulala.
“What it is, Eco?” naasar nyang tanung.
“Can you do me a favor, pre?” hindi na ito nagpaliguy-ligoy pa.
“What?! Pre, I'm sorry pero busy talaga ako-“
“Please, pre. Ngayon lang to, promise. Wala na akong sapat na oras at kahit magmadali pa ako ngayon, I don’t think makakaabot pa ako.” Paliwanag nito.
“Make sure this is not one of your pranks Eco, kundi lagot ka talaga sakin.” Sagot niya. “Now, start to explain or else-“
Woah! Ang init masyado ng ulo mo.” Tsaka ito tumawa ng nakakaluko. Akmang pipindutin na niya ang end button ng tumigil ito at nagsalita. “Birthday kasi ng cousin ko ngayon, I mean mamaya. At ako ang escort niya kaya I'm supposed to be there. Ako pa naman ang last dance niya. So, nakikiusap ako sayo pre, be my subtitute. Masquerade ang theme ng party kaya hindi Karin nila makikilala.” Mahabang paliwanag nito sa kanya. Huminga muna siya ng malalim bago sumagot.
“Wow, a tresspaser ha. Tika, ako lang ba friend mo dito? Or how about your other cousins? Why me, Eco?” he curiously asked. He's not a party guy kasi. For him, Time Is Precious.
“Yeah, I have a lot of friends but a one bestfriend. And Shine is special to me, kaya sayo ko lang siya gustong ipagkakatiwala.” Seryosong sagot nito. “Besides, I don't want tita Laine to get disappointed kasi siya ang pumili sakin. By means, hindi pwedeng malaman to ni tita Laine.” Eco explained.
“Alright.” He lost. He hates arguments.
“Thanks, pre! I owe you. Yong invitation, ipapadala ko nalang jan sa condo mo pati yong suit.” Masayang sabi nito.
“Okay, then.” Saka siya nagpaalam..
