*Irene*

The reason for leaving wasn't stated in the note and basing his emotions off the smooth lettering, she assumed he hadn't read hers. Hopefully. Irene scanned the room and found everything except the guitar had been taken. Did this mean he would return? Jin never mentioned that either, but it sounded like he wouldn't.
Collapsing onto the sheets, she shut her eyes and wondered what she would do now.

I'm leaving

Joo-hyun had to tell her father what happened.

I'm happy to have met you

Even if it cost her.
Why was she so angry? What was she crying over? Jin was still a stranger. He was only showing her different and new experiences then blinding her to the reality of unlucky circumstance.
"Joo-hyun." There was a knock and startled, Irene sat up to face the stranger in the doorway. "Why are you in here? Where's Seok-Jin?"
"Seok-Jin?" She hummed as she turned her gaze to the floor, feet swinging below the bed frame. "He left."
"Left? For where?"
"He didn't say-."
"I shouldn't have left him alone with you." The way he stood in the doorway, appearing disappointed; his  tone loud and hostile.
"'Alone with you'?" Maybe it was her fault, but to be ridiculed when nothing had been made clear was outrageous. "What do you want from me? All my life, you've set the expectations of a marriage between me and Jin. When you told me you thought Sehun was better, I-."
"I was angry. He's friends with that kid- that murderer...I couldn't have that for you, for you to have connections like-like that. Besides, his family are good people-."
Irene cleared her throat. "I don't need to hear anything else, but...just be aware that Sehun isn't the shiny coin you think he his."
"I'm well informed."
The room fell quiet and they stood about, one looking down and another staring at the previous. "I'll give Jin time."
"It sounds as though you know what he's doing."
"I know he isn't planning on leaving town."

Twiddling her thumbs and sitting on the bench, her mind became stuck on Jin, wondering where he could be and what he could be doing. She jumped to her feet, unable to sit still. "He's with Namjoon." Irene reassured in a quiet voice, pacing back and forth. "Where else could he go?" She stopped and thought about the trip to his old house. "No, if he's trying to hide, he wouldn't."
Wherever Namjoon had gone, Jin was sure to be. It was just the task of finding out where but that could take days. She wasn't knowledgeable of the area outside her home so she would need someone to accompany her.
"Are you alright?"
Speaking of company. "It's none of your business." Irene answered, deciding to continue into the garden rather than encounter him by turning around. It would be better for her is she didn't.
"What happened?" He was following and she wondered whether she should say or not.
Sehun could be important though. He knew the town well and maybe even where Namjoon was. "You know Namjoon, right? -and where he lives?"
He didn't answer right away. "Why do you want to know?"
"Well, Jin...is missing and I need to find him."
The young man took his time responding, humming first. "What did your dad say?"
"Obviously I have to bring him back."
"What if you don't want to?"
Irene scoffed. "That doesn't matter."
"Why?" He didn't give her time to react. "Ji-cheol has given him so much without consequence; why can't he do the same for you? Jin left without a word to anyone but you-."
"I already thought about that!" Irene spun around, catching Sehun off guard when he almost bumped into her. "But it's not as easy as you think. I'm his daughter and if I run away, he'll fetch me himself. He invested a lot of time into this and he's not about to let it go to waste."
"So you're just going to let him do whatever he wants with you?"
"No, but it's better than running away."
"Better? You mean easier?"
"Sehun-!"
"Stop being so stupid! I know I haven't been the best person lately but I'm trying to protect you."
"Yes, because protection means unnecessarily lying to someone about m-." She began walking off again but Sehun snatched her wrist.
"I thought it was necessary. I was jealous, but it's not like I didn't say anything about him."
"That's not an excuse." He let her go but continued following. Stepping her foot into the green brush upon her immediate decision to go home, she added, "Stop following me."
"I thought we were walking together but," Sehun lifted his hands in a defensive gesture. "I see I was mistaken."
Irene faced him one last time. "Why did you stop talking to me?"
The addressed man chuckled. "I've already answered that question. Try another."
"Will you help me find Jin?"
"Maybe." He shrugged, smug.
"Maybe?"
"See me the day before you leave and I'll let you know."
