CHAPTER 7

    After he let me go I managed to find a friend of mine to drive me all the way back to the mansion. I finally arrived in the afternoon. I felt like I was after a hangover , maybe stress was to blame for that. Alfred opened the door and with a relieved face said: "Diana , you came back ! Are you alright dear?"

Diana: Hey Al, it's all good, I was just partying with my friends and I didn't have any service to call, sorry...

Alfred: Come on in, I'm going to make you something to eat.

   As I went inside the mansion, I saw Bruce and Eric coming down the stairs to talk to me , they looked really worried , I hoped I wouldn't have to scare them like that again...But guess what...I wouldn't keep that promise.

Eric: Diana! Where the heck have you been?

Diana: like I said, I was partying with my friends, lost track of time and didn't have any service.

Eric: Then why do you look like you didn't take an actual bath for at least one year.

Bruce: come on Eric, stop. Diana please don't do that again. The streets of Gotham are dangerous. We don't know who lurks in the shadows. Besides, you should have listened to me when I told you to stay here.

Eric: you should at least tell us where you were going. We were worried sick.

Diana: Alright, I'm sorry. It won't happen again.

   I sighted.

Bruce: Anyway, I'm going to be at Luscious Fox's laboratory to test some new gadgets to upgrade our security system.

Eric: in the meantime, you should take a bath.

   When I finished with my shower Bruce had already left. I went inside my room and tried to reflect on what had happened. "What was I thinking? He couldn't have feelings for me. Although, he was the one who kissed me...maybe there is a spark between us but I need to find it slowly and carefully. One wrong move and it could be the death of me", I thought.
   I had this urge to talk to somebody about what had happened. There was only one person I could talk to about that matter. Eric . He was the only one who wouldn't act with furry or anger. Well maybe disappointment but still he could tolerate my actions. If Bruce found out about my recent "adventure" he would try to find Jerome and get hurt in the process. I knew he could fight but would that be enough? He had lost a fight against some bullies cause he had tried to test himself. Who know what would happen if he went up against him. So I waited till Alfred went to the backyard so Eric and I were alone in the house. When that finally happened I made my confession to him.

Diana: Eric , can I talk to you for a moment?

Eric: I see that you are finally awake, what's up?

Diana: I lied about last night. I didn't go with my friends to party until I got drunk and I forgot to call you back. I actually got kidnapped.

Eric: kidnapped? By who?

Diana: By Jerome ...

Eric: wait, you're joking right?

Diana: No I'm not, he kidnapped me and the girls that I went out with. He wanted to check out our phones when he took us to a warehouse. But then, as he was scrolling through my contacts ...he found out that I am Bruce's friend.

Eric: what, no! How did you manage to escape?

Diana: He let me go...

Eric: what the hell, now I know you're joking. He wouldn't let anyone go , he is a psychopathic killer.

Diana: Well, he would let a person go if he had feelings for them.

Eric: What are you trying to say?

   Eric said with curiosity.

Diana: I'm saying that he might have feelings for me.

Eric: what gave you that idea except the fact that he let you go?

Diana: This very morning Jerome was seriously injured . I tried to help him get healed. But as we were talking...He kissed me...

Eric: you mean did he kiss you like an actual kiss, like ... on the lips or did he do a bitchy smooch?

Diana: No Eric , he kissed me on the lips! And now I'm confused!

Eric: Oh no! Tell me you don't like him!

Diana :I don't know!

Eric: Oh my God! At least tell me that he didn't hurt you or the girls.

Diana: No, the girls are fine , he didn't do anything . Well , we did have a little fight and he tried to choke me but except of that , it all went well.

Eric: What the hell are you saying?!? Do you even hear yourself the guy is dangerous!!!

Diana: I know.... but , let find out what he thinks about me and what are his intentions.

Eric: But how will you find him again , he could be anywhere. It's not like you can just communicate or something.

Diana: Actually...

Eric: Oh no , please don't...

Diana: Yeah , he gave me his number so we can talk again.

Eric: Oh Jesus!

Diana: And I have another minor detail that I have to inform you about.

Eric: What?

Diana: I told him where Bruce lives.

Eric: WHAT?!?

Diana: I didn't have a choice. He would kill my friends , I had to answer to all his questions.

Eric: Can't you see that this is all a plan to kill Bruce?!?

Diana: Maybe it is , but let me try to reach him. Let me find out what his game is. If he doesn't do anything to me , then I will know he feels something towards me .

Eric: No, I won't let that happen. He will kill you!!!

Diana: Please, let me have this. I promise you , this will be the last time I will see him.

Eric: But...

Diana: Please Eric, don't ruin this for me . You are my friend. The only one I can trust now.

Eric: What about Bruce...

Diana: He must not know anything about it. He is reckless and in a weird stage right now. I can't risk losing him.

Eric: Alright... what do you want me to do...

Diana: I just need you to keep this a secret . Also , I promise to let you know when I need help. Deal?

Eric: Deal....
