GOTHAM : LOVE AND INSANITY

CHAPTER 8

   Two days have passed since the incident with Jerome. Eric and I were trying to investigate what his plans were. Was he going to find me and talk or was he going to invade the mansion? The third day, Bruce walked inside my room.

Diana: Oh hey Bruce , what's up?

Bruce: Really good actually. Luscious and I finally finished our project for Gotham.

Diana: Awesome ...what was that project again?

   I smiled awkwardly

Bruce: Don't you remember ? It's our plan to increase the security system around the city of Gotham to protect the citizens. I have to tell you , it's everything I could imagine. We managed to place surveillance cameras all over the city. For that we are going to celebrate.

Diana: Really?!? Awesome , where?

Bruce: We are going to go to the Sirens club . Alfred will send the invitations. But I have to inform you that most people there will be businessmen.

Diana: Oh ...alright then...

Bruce: Come on, it will be fun. Tell the news to Eric too.

Diana: Ok , you know what , I'm happy for you . You don't usually plan events like this. That's a very nice change.

Bruce: Thank you. Now find something nice to wear.

   And with a smile he left. I quickly run to Eric , told him the news and went to my closet to find something glamorous to wear.

   The hours passed. It was time to have fun...or so I thought. You never know when you are going to be surprised... especially if it's HIM.

   Anyway , the party started. The Sirens club was crowded with people from all over the city of Gotham. I was sitting with Eric drinking my wine while watching Bruce talking to every businessman he could find.

Diana: Well , the party is not like what I was expecting...

   I sighted.

Eric: At least we get the chance to go out for once. Remember Bruce is not the party type.

Diana: Yeah I guess... Anyway , I'm going to take some air. You stay here.

Eric: Alright I'm going to talk to Selina.

   I walked outside the club and went to the balcony. I just wanted some time to clear my mind of all the things that had happened the last three days. After some time , I heard footsteps behind me. "Hello darling" , the person said with a seductive voice.
