"The Principal, where's the principle?"
JOSHUA FELT A LITTLE ENVIOUS.
He'd trade anything just to step foot inside that bus every morning. That's why he would rather sit with them than be in their stuffy family car every day.
"How's your section? Can you still focus on your studies despite being in the same room with your rowdy friends?" Joshua did not even bother answering Mr. Hong's question.
He likes to address his dad in a formal way in his mind, tutal palagi naman itong seryoso at maawtoridad kahit sa kaniya. Mr. Hong is the principal of Green Meadows Academy, kung saan senior si Joshua. Kaya naman wala siyang choice but to be in his best appearance at all times.
Sometimes, he feels like his dad treats him as someone under his power rather than his own son. Apparently, Mr. Hong sees his friends as bad influences. They always understand, but the thought of missing out on a lot of things pisses Joshua off. Pero kinikimkim lang niya. Just like always.
Just like what a perfect son would do.
"I've told you already, Joshua. You never listen. Pretty soon you're going to end up just like them." sabi ni Mr. Hong.
"We're teens. He didn't even know how he managed to talk back to his Dad. Tumingin sa kaniya nang masama si Mr. Hong, clearly agitated by his audacity to speak to him like that.
"That doesn't apply to you. I expect you to be in your best and disciplined state all the time. I don't want you to invest your energy on unnecessary things and useless people, naiintindihan mo ba?"
