The two of us walked down the hall. "Hey." A girl said making Landon jump. It was Hope. "Let me guess. Pigtails spilled her guts and confessed to kidnapping Dana and Sasha. Case closed." Landon said. "Her name's Cheryl and not exactly. But she did invite me to try out for the cheerleading team." Hope said. Landon looked at her. "Who are you right now? And what is that thing on your head?" Landon asked. "It's a gift...from Cheryl." Hope said. I rolled my eyes. I stopped suddenly smelling something. I looked to the left and right. I snapped my head to the left. "I gotta go." I said leaving Landon with Hope. "Wait! Scott! Where are you-" Landon called. I was already running down the hall.

I turned down hallways looking for the source of the smell. The smell was everywhere so I could be wandering around for nothing. The smell was so overwhelming. I couldn't pinpoint it's exact location. I heard a chitter for a second and turned around to see nothing. "You're going nuts, Scott." I told myself. I turned back around to see Connor down the hall with his friends. I rolled my eyes and walked outside scratching the back of my head. I found the others under a tree talking to Kaleb...actually ganging up on him. I stopped and listened from a distance about Kaleb feeding off of Dana and how he didn't kill Dana. Dana's dead?! I furrowed my eyebrows and caught wind of a noxious smell. I looked to the left and spotted a pale teenage girl across the street. "Dana?" I asked myself. She didn't look so good. I bolted to her, running past everyone else. I stopped in front of Dana. "You ain't looking so hot." I said helping her up. "What happened?" She asked. "I don't know. You tell me. You're the one that died." I said while we still had some privacy for a few short minutes. "I don't remember. I just remember pranking the school." Dana said. I sighed dropping my head as the others caught up to me. "Where have you been, Detective Tattoo?" Lizzie asked. "My job." I stated in a gruff voice as pushed past the others helping Dana to a table.

The others began to have a conversation with Dana while I zoned out listening for Sasha. If Dana was this close then that Sasha is not that far behind. Suddenly Dana dropped to the floor. I walked away catching wind of that smell again. "Where do you think you're going, Wolfy?" Hope asked. "To find Sasha." I said turning around. "We have a transitioning vampire on our hands now, Scott." Hope said. "No. YOU have a transitioning vampire on YOUR hands. I'm just Detective Tattoo looking for two missing girls. Except, now, one of them is dead and becoming a freaking vampire and the other is nowhere to be found. I'm going to find the one that's unaccounted for." I said backing away. Kaleb appeared in front of me. "I can't let you do that." Kaleb said. "I suggest you move." I said. "Make me." Kaleb said getting in my face. "Don't test me." I said making my eyes glow a bright red. He backed away with wide eyes. "That's what I thought. find out what you're dealing with before picking a fight with them. I learned that the hard way." I said turning around. The others had put Dana in the back of the school bus. Hope woke her up and Dana started talking about not feeling well. I could smell her nausea. "Guys something's not right." I said taking a step back from Dana, raising my arms, instinctively. "What?" Landon asked. "I don't know. I just smell something...off." I said before Dana puked. "Like that." I said as Dana continued to puke up black liquid. "She's puking her guts out. Literally." I said. "What so you're a doctor now?" Lizzie asked. "Actually Veterinary Technician." I said. "Dana! Dana! Dana!" I yelled.

Soon there was a flattened Dana on the ground in front of us. "That...was...gruesome." I said. kneeling down examining the body. "Whatever did this liquified her internal organs when it bit her. The only time I've heard of this is with spiders. So either we got giant spiders walking around or I'm going insane." I said standing up. "I highly doubt we have giant spiders walking around in Mystic Falls." Lizzie said. "It has to be another monster from the knife." Hope said. I glanced at Landon who tensed up. Kaleb looked at Landon and me. "Well, maybe the monster's been right in front of us all along." Kaleb said getting in Landon's face. "Landon's not the monster." I said. "Are you serious?" Landon asked Kaleb. "Hey, none of this started happening until the two of you showed up and stole that knife, which is exactly what the other monsters came here to do. You saying it's a coincidence?" Kaleb said. "Yeah. Yeah. Yes, I am." Landon said. "One's an incident. Two's a coincidence and three's a pattern." I said to myself a little too loudly, quoting Stiles. "What?" MG asked. I shook my head. "Okay, look. Landon is NOT the monster. I would've smelled it. Although he smells a bit odd. He is no monster." I said stepping forward. "And how am I supposed to trust whatever you say? How do we know that you're not the monster?" Lizzie asked. "Everyone's got a monster inside themselves. If people saw what we were. They would call every one of us monsters." I said. "All we know is that you're a werewolf that has too much power. Wanna explain that?" Kaleb asked. "I don't have to explain myself to you. I already know what my monster is." I said getting in his face making my eyes glow, growling. "So before you starting pushing buttons you really shouldn't press. Why don't you look in a mirror and look at the monster you are first. Perhaps you'll see the reality that vampires and witches and werewolves and everything in between...although may be grouped in different parts. Are all grouped under one big roof. You wanna know what the label of that group is called? Monsters. I would know. I've dealt with them for the last couple of years in California. So I know a monster when I see one. And I am telling you...that Landon. Is. Not. The monster." I said looking at the others before my eyes landed on Hope. "I can only assume that your dead silence means you still don't trust me or him. Am I right?" I asked looking at her. Hope stood silent. I scoffed. "Of course you don't." I said shaking my head before storming away, pissed. I walked up the stairs to the door and opened it. When I say open, I mean rip. Because that's what happened. I ripped the door off it's hinges and continued inside searching for that damn smell.
