I spent the last day with Raf and Lan in the woods. I watched Rafael climb up a building and down multiple times. So, that was fun. Until it wasn't. We were nearly killed if it wasn't for a guy named Jeremy Gilbert. An old friend of Dr. Saltzman. Apparently there was a werewolf hunter on our tail. Gunning for me. Jeremy knew who I was. Now I was back at the school with Landon and Rafael. Raf was welcomed back...Landon and me...not so much. I was right....Hope hates me and so do the others. So much for me being the most trustworthy person you could know. I stood in my temporary dorm staring at my pack tattoo. "All students please report to the assembly room." Alaric announced over the intercom. I sat on the window sill and leaned my head against the window pane. My mind was blank for 20 minutes before the door opened. "Scott. I could use your help with a possible supernatural missing persons case." Alaric said. I furrowed my eyes and snapped my head to him. "What?" I asked looking at him getting off the nook. "Two teenagers are missing. Seeing how you have a few years of experience under your belt in finding people. I think you could be useful. If you promise not to kill anybody." Alaric said. I sighed. "I. Don't. Kill people." I said with a serious look in my eyes. "What do I have to do to make you see that?" I asked. "Find our two missing teenagers, then we can talk about trust." Alaric said. I stood silent for a moment. "Who's all going?" I asked. "Landon, Lizzie, MG, Kaleb, and...Hope." Alaric answered. I sighed. "Wouldn't be the first time I  worked with someone that's tried to kill me." I said leaving the room. "What happened in Beacon Hills? That's what I really want to know." Alaric asked behind me. "Sorry. I can't tell you. I apparently have trust issues." I said turning around, walking backwards, and raising my hands in the air.

I got onto the bus and noticed the dirty looks I received from everyone except for Landon. "What's he doing here?" Hope asked looking at Alaric. "Scott here...Is your best chance at finding Dana and Sasha." Alaric said. "Why?" Lizzie asked. "Because, Scott has years of experience in finding missing people. Both dead and alive. And something tells me that the rest of you...do not." Alaric said. I glanced at him. "Can I talk to you in private?" I asked him. We exited the bus. "Look. I'm not saying that I'm not going to help you with this but I am telling you that working them would be a terrible idea." I said. "Why is that?" He asked. "They already hate me. Me being there would just...look I wouldn't be able to concentrate if I can smell all of their negative emotions emanating off of them. Like right now." I said looking back at the bus. "If the only way for you to get me to trust you is to find these kids. Then make that your priority. If you get me to trust you. Then it will get them to trust you. I think I would rather fight an army of hunters than go through this." I said. Alaric smiled. "Well...you don't really have a choice now do you, McCall?" Alaric said crossing his arms. "You do know this goes two ways right? I help you so you can help me gain back their trust." I said squinting my eyes. "I...don't...know how to answer that so I'm gonna need you to get on the bus." Alaric said. "Fine. But don't expect me to work with them." I said getting on the bus. "Scott. Just find them. That's all that matters. If they start to anger you...take a breath and walk away. We can't risk having a giant hairy problem running throughout Mystic Falls High." Alaric called. "Believe me. That's the last thing I need to happen." I said looking at him. I slumped into the first seat away from everyone.

Hope POV

I sat on the bus in silence until I heard a phone ring. I looked around and watched as Scott pulled a phone out of his pocket. "How come Alpha boy gets a phone?" Lizzie asked. "Because it's his, Lizzie." MG said. I listened into Scott's conversation. "Stiles?" I heard him answer the phone. "What kind of name is Stiles?" I whispered. "Scotty. Look...I just wanted to say I'm sorry for what happened back at the hospital-" Stiles started. I furrowed my eyebrows. "Stiles. Don't talk about the hospital. It's bad enough I had to live through it. I don't need to relive it again." Scott said. "Right. Sorry. Where have you been the last 8 months?" Stiles asked. "Oh...you know. Here and there. I'm currently on bus to solve a mystery while also being hated by a group of teens that don't trust me." Scott said. I rolled my eyes annoyed. "You had me at 'mystery'. Are you solving mysteries without me?" Stiles asked. "Okay one, it's A mystery. And two, it's one time thing." Scott said. "Also...who wouldn't trust you? You're like the most trusting person I know. Literally. You're too trusting. That's how Theo killed you." Stiles said. "Theo killed me because he poisoned me with powdered wolfsbane for 2 weeks before a super-moon." Scott countered. "You're lucky you even survived." Stiles answered. Killed? "I'm starting to think I get lucky with a lot of things. Good and bad." Scott said. "Dude. Trouble always comes your way. It's just how it is. You're the True Alpha, Scott. People are gonna keep trying to kill you until they do." Stiles explained. "Stiles. I don't need a lecture about being a True Alpha. It's bad enough already I'm struggling with the other two." Scott said. "Still? I thought Derek taught you how to control it?" "So did I. Guess we were both wrong because I shifted involuntarily on a full moon and killed a deer." Scott stated. "You? Killing something? That's never been heard of. That's about at as rare as the True Alpha itself." Stiles said. "Ha. Hilarious." Scott said. "Obviously. You're still suffering from what you lost. I mean it sounds like you're experiencing survivor guilt and it's rendering your control over your transformation useless." Stiles said. "That's the thing Stiles...I should've been the one to die that night." Scott said. My eyes widened not expecting to hear Scott to say that. "You don't mean that. The Scott I know would never wish that. You and me both know she died saving you." Stiles said. "Can you not? Please." Scott said. "I'm sorry. But you do know why she did it right?"  Stiles said. "Stiles. Please stop." Scott said. Stiles sighed on the other line. We pulled up to the school and Scott hung up his phone. Scott hung his head and sighed. He stood up first and got off the bus. He looked around at the high school. He looked back at the bus. The rest of us got off the bus and looked around. Scott stood with his arms crossed waiting for us. Landon stood next to him and. "Okay, Landon you talk to whoever you can about Dana and Sasha. Hope try not to alienate the entire student body while the rest of us try to save the world. Scott, try not to kill anybody." Lizzie said. I heard Scott let out a low growl. He  walked away with Landon.

Scott POV

I walked into the hallway with Landon and the recently joined Hope. "This is the senior hallway, where I spent much of my formative years stuffed in every locker...except this one. That one doesn't open." Landon said smacking a locker with his hand. I looked at him and scoffed with a smile. "Sounds familiar." I said remembering Jackson. "On your left, you'll find the bathroom. It's where I had my first kiss with a toilet." Landon said. "I'm sorry. Is the fact that I'm not openly hostile to you make it seem like we're back to being friends?" Hope said looking at Landon walking away. I looked at Landon who looked at me. "Uh, sorry. Just, I was going for effortlessly natural. But this is all just making me really nervous. Like, the school and seeing Connor and being with you..." Landon said. "Shouldn't you be talking to anyone know?" Hope asked. "That's easier said than done. There is no way Dana's clique is talking to me unless you have a spell that will make retroactively cool." Landon said as I subconsciously traced the bands of my tattoo. "Well, I'll talk to them, then." Hope said. "It's even worse for you. Trust me. You have idea how human high schools work. You're the new girl. Might as well be radioactive." Landon said. "I'm sorry. You look traumatized. Is this loser bothering you?" A cheerleader asked Hope referring to Landon. "He keeps trying to get me to buy his mix tape." Hope said. The girl scoffed before answering. "Gross. Well, we're going to lunch. You hungry?" The girl asked. "Famished." Hope said. They walked away. "What about the guy with the tattoo? He's cute." The girl said talking about me. I glanced at her as she looked back at me. I gave her a polite smile and looked at a hurt Landon. I put my hand on his shoulder. "Don't let it get to you man. Everyone is doing the same thing to me with killing people. Spreading lies." I said. "Seriously? Why would they do that?" Landon asked. "Because...I did the right thing and went with you after they sent you away." I said. "Can I ask you a question?" Landon asked. "You just did." I said with a smiled looking for clues. He chuckled. "When did you and Hope meet?" He asked. I sighed. "A long time ago. When we were little kids. She was my first best friend before the one I got now. I did not look like how I do now." I said with a smile. "Seriously?" Landon asked. "Yeah the body you see now is mostly-werewolf bite and the other is muscle from working out." I said. "Wanna give me that bite?" Landon joked. I laughed. I spotted a girl with an odd choice of clothing. "Landon?" I asked furrowing my eyebrows. "What's up?" He asked. "You lived a Virginia most of your life right?" I asked. "I guess. Yeah. Why?" Landon asked. "Do people usually wear scarves in this heat?" I asked looking at him and jerking my chin to the girl. "No they do not." Landon replied.
