The storm 2/2 (Part 8)

I black out for a bit but i awaken to Sarah by my side keeping watch of me. 

"Rose you're finally awake, you were bleeding out badly but luckily i saved you. Here, drink this"

She hands me a glass of water and i drink it feeling more refreshed. 

"Thank you Sarah.. for everything. You saved my life" My face lights up, she actually did save me. I give her a big hug showing all my appreciation. Afterwards i get up and look outside. The storm is over, and the sun is beginning to set.

"Sarah, we should go it's getting a bit late" i open the window to show her proof.

"Wow i never knew it was this late already. I should walk you home, it's been a long day and in the condition you're in you look like you need someone to make sure you get there safe"

 she says as she gestures towards my injured leg. We gather our things and set off back home. In the middle of us walking Sarah grabs my hand, i know it's a friendly guesture but.... there it goes again.

Heart racing, blood pumping, Heat incoming. I feel almost, afraid to look at her. I hesitate but finally i do. She's... beautiful. The way the sun compliments her skin tone, the gleam in her eyes. And her smile. it's only seconds till she looks up and notices me.

"Rose why do you look like you've just seen the gates of heaven? You weirdo" she smirks, it takes me a bit to reply but i finally make out the words 

"Oh nothing.... it's just the uh, the sunset. It's stunning" 

"Ah the sunset, it truly is an amazing sight, what do you say we go on another walk and maybe have a picnic to watch the sunset again?''

She always asks if i ever want to do stuff with her but... it feels different, i feel so nervous whenever we talk, what is this? It causes me so much distraction trying to figure out what it means, i should stop and just accept.

"Of course! Sounds like an amazing way to spend the end of the day"

Just then we finally arrive to my home, she gives me another hug and we say our goodbyes. I walk into the house and my mother rises from where she is sitting

"Oh sweet Rosie dear you're home! How was it? If you were gone for so long you must have really impressed him! I knew you'd finally realize how good he is for you!"

"Well the thing is, nothing happened, i'm sorry. He was too much, he made me feel unsafe. I just couldn't"

A booming voice chimes in "Couldn't do it? He is the most highest standards of men in this town and you decide you just couldn't?" It was my father, he always dreamt of me marrying James.

Of course only cause he's fooling everyone here but me. My father walks upstairs clearly showing great disapointment, and my mother following behind.
