chapter 5 :)

a/n - yay more updates cuz i felt like it and i dont want to make you guys wait that long like i did before.

---

"I'm still here, you bitch," I heard the sick tone. And the same malevolent laughter.

"You can't get away," she cackled.

I screamed and closed my eyes. I felt like I was going paranoid, insane.

"Laura," Ross shook me and I opened my eyes.

She was gone. There was just Ross. Just Ross.

He wrapped his arms around me tightly and I leaned against his chest. I'm still short as ever.

"I saw her again, Ross. That thing. She keeps telling me that she's still here. That I can't escape," I sobbed into his shirt.

"Don't be afraid, I'll always be here to fight scary monsters away!" Ross exclaimed, imitating a superhero.

Well, not to be cheesy and all but Ross kinda is my superhero.

"Don't go," I said quietly.

"I won't, I promise."

If only he did...

---

Rydel and I decided to go shopping today. She ditched Ratliff, I ditched Ross.

Whoops.

"Laur, you should totally get this dress and shoes. I bet they'll look amazing on you. Plus, you love the colour," Rydel said, passing me a dress and a pair of shoes.

I'll admit, they look cute and totally my style.

"Okay, I'll try it on," I smiled.

Rydel clapped her hands in delight and replied, "Great!"

I went inside the dressing room and put on the dress. It did look /great/ on me.

I unlocked the door of the dressing room and stepped outside, expecting Rydel to be there, looking for an outfit for herself.

Instead, I was greeted with the cruel silence.

There was no one there.

"Rydel?" I called out. No reply.

Where did everyone go?

The lights were still on and the 'cheery' music of the store was still playing, but with the silence, I say it's completely scary and creepy.

"Rydel?" I called again. No reply.

I reached for my phone, only then to realise that it was back in the dressing room.

And the dressing room seemed miles away from where I was.

"Rydel?" Nothing.

I trudged back to the dressing room and I nearly puked from what I saw.

The dress, which was pure white, was smudged with blood. The mirror was also smudged with blood.

I cowered back, prepared to run away but the door suddenly closed and I screeched.

It locked itself. I couldn't get out.

I heard maniacal laughter. And it echoed throughout.

The image of her face suddenly was imprinted on the mirror.

"You will never get away from me!" it screamed.

And the mirror cracked, the glass fragments all over the floor.

And I screamed.
