Chapter 2 :)

Ross' POV

I felt Laura shiver beside me. She stiffened and heard her murmur something.

Must be having one of her nightmares.

I wrapped my arm around her, pulling her closer to me. "It's gonna be okay. You're just dreaming," I soothed her.

I felt her calm down and clasp my hand tighter.

"Wake up, Laur, it's okay, I'm here."

Her eyes opened but her eyes were bloodshot, like she was crying.

"Ross," she mumbled.

I hugged her tighter against me.

"Laura," I looked in her eyes.

"I saw Luke, in my nightmare. Not really saw but he was in it. He was warning me. That I'd get betrayed by the one who I trust most, which is you," she didn't dare look in my eyes.

I was flabbergasted by her words.

"You know that I love you, right? That I won't ever leave you nor betray you. Ever. I promise," I assured her.

I pressed my lips against hers, feeling her soft ones against mine.

How could she even think that for one second I'll betray her?

Laura's POV

Luke.

"It's gonna be okay. You're just dreaming," I heard a voice. I felt the world shake and I was brought back to reality. 

"Ross," I breathed out.

I licked my lips as I stared into space. I was bored. 

I love being with Ross and all, but for the last few months, I've been with him. All day. I just wanna do something different. 

(a/n - sorry guys) 

The thing is Austin and Ally has been over for quite a while now. It's completed. And since we decided to keep a low-profile for a while, the producers of the show couldn't find anyone to replace us - knowing the Raura and Auslly fans-. Thus, the show ended with Dez and Trish being together. It still creeps me out, to be honest. 

Then, like really unexpectedly, my phone rang. 

The shrill bell made me jump, which made Ross laugh, which made me swat his arm before answering the phone. 

Laura: Hello?

mystery man on the phone (lowercase intended): Is this Laura Marano?

Laura: Yes?

mystery man on the phone: My name's Robert and I'd like to invite you and your boyfriend, Ross Lynch to the Summertime Ball. 

Laura: Do I know you?

mystery man on the phone (Robert): In more ways than you know.

There was an awkward silence before Robert cleared his throat and started talking again.

Robert: So, if you and Ross is interested, message me on this number.

Laura: Okay.

Robert hung up and I put down the phone on the kitchen counter.

"Who was that?" Ross asked, fluffing his blonde hair. "A guy named Robert, he was inviting us to the Summertime Ball." 

"Wait, the Summertime Ball, Summertime Ball?" 

"Yeah? What about it?" I arched an eyebrow.

"That's like one of the rossomest events ever happened here, and R5 could play and we could have so much fun there." 

"I don't know, Robert sounds kinda suspicious." 

"Come on, Laur, please, be my date to the ball," Ross did his signature puppy eyes. 

My heart warmed and I replied with,

"Okay, okay, fine, because I love you."
