Ross' POV (like finally, right?)

She isn't doing it again, is she? The zoning-out, pretending she's in another place thing.

She was just standing there, holding the newspaper, her face full of fear, like something was happening to her.

Well, there isn't.

No one else seems to notice though, everyone else is too busy minding their own business.

And she screamed. Yeah, that usually happens.

I love Laura and all but after that Summertime Ball, she's been acting so weird and so-not-Laura.

And she's been so distant lately. Not just to me but to everyone. I don't even know when was the last time she joined us for dinner.

We haven't even had a decent hang out until today but it got interrupted and possibly ruined by whatever she's doing.

It might seem like I'm being clingy and misunderstang her whole situation, but she's affecting everyone around her with her zone outs.

I love her and all, but she's not the adorkable Laura I've grown to love.

And I did the thing I never expected me to do no matter what.

I gathered my things and left the cafe, leaving her to deal with her problem.

But the thing was, I knew that she knew that I was walking away.
