I MADE A MISTAKE. I SHOULD NEVER HAVE kissed Jungkook. Now, I was a liar and someone who played with other people's emotions. I told Taehyung that nothing was going on between Jungkook and I, but that was just another lie. Yes, I couldn't have known that we'd end up kissing in the dance studio a few days later, but I was still a liar all the same. I should've kept my emotions in check. I should've resisted the sudden, unexpected, urge to kiss him. Instead, I gave in and now, Jungkook's been avoiding me and Taehyung's been acting awfully suspicious. On the flip side, I don't think anyone else knows what really happened - they probably think that Jungkook and I had an argument, and that's why we've been "avoiding" each other.

I wish I could talk to him. I wish we could just sit down and discuss what happened like real adults. In reality, we're only choosing to run away and hide from our issues, and that's only making things worse.

I sat at my kitchen counter, dressed in pyjamas, with a wine glass dangling between my fingertips. Some soapy drama series was playing on TV, but I was too lazy to get up and change the channel. I decided to hunker down and suffer through it. I sipped my wine, rolling my eyes at the events playing out before me on the flat screen. It was such a predictable plot, with added drama to compensate for the awful scripture. It was dreadful, but at least it distracted me from the misery of my own life.

"Oh, come on!" I shouted at the screen. "She's out to break your heart, dude! She's sleeping with your best friend for Christ sake!"

Salem flipped over on the lounge, letting his white paws go limp as he curved his back. Salem had been sleeping peacefully and my outburst just now must've woken him up.

"Sorry, baby," I muttered before turning my attention back to the screen. I went to take another sip of my wine, but to my disappointment, there wasn't any left. Not even a single drop. I groaned in annoyance, hopped off the stool I'd been sitting on, and padded over to the fridge. Opening the freezer door, I took out a tub of Ben & Jerry's and a spoon from the drawer. With my comfort food in hand, I headed over to the lounge and plopped down next to Salem.
