WE PILED INTO TAEHYUNG'S CAR. Because Jungkook claimed the passenger seat, I was forced into the back. I sat with folded arms, a pout on my face for most of the ride. Taehyung seemed to find it amusing because he just couldn't seem to wipe the stupid grin off his face. Jungkook, on the other hand, couldn't care less and simply ignored the both of us. We ended up stopping by a strip of buildings and Jimin came running out towards the car. I scooted over and tried to ignore the growing tension that started to make the large space feel small. Jimin was the one who dared me to kiss Taehyung which somehow resulted in me kissing Jungkook instead.
He propelled himself into the seat next to mine and quickly strapped the seatbelt across his chest. "Thanks for the ride, Tae-Tae. I really appreciate it." His eyes then drifted over to me and his brows raised. "Ellie! I've been meaning to talk to you. I'm sorry for what happened last night. I should never have asked you to kiss Taehyung. That was out of line."
"Oh, you don't need to apologise. Yes, it was awkward, but the issue's been resolved now. No harm done."
Jimin pressed his hand to his chest and let out a breath. "Oh, I thought you hated me. I felt so bad afterwards. Making you leave like that. . ."
I just happened to look over and see Jungkook eyeing me, trying to be discreet about it. When he realised that I'd caught him staring, he slowly adverted his gaze and pretended like nothing happened. "No, I don't hate you," I reassured Jimin. "I just needed time to process."
The car ride went quickly. Soon enough, we arrived at BigHit Entertainment. Honestly, it was quite intimidating. The building towered over us, making me feel minuscule in comparison. A sudden wave of anxiety flooded in and I found myself biting down hard on my bottom lip as we stepped out onto the sidewalk. Taehyung sidled up beside me and, as if sensing my discomfort, whispered, "You're going to do just fine. Don't stress."
I nodded my head despite the fact that I was internally freaking out. My expression may have been calm, but on the inside, I was terrified beyond words. I wasn't qualified for this position by any means. I get why Taehyung wants me to have the job, and I love him for wanting us to be closer, but BTS would be better in the hands of a qualified professional; someone who actually has a clue as to what they're doing. I'm just a simple editor. I don't know anything about managing the worlds most popular Korean boy band.
