Comanche, loved how close she was to him, he could smell her perfume or lotion. It smelled like fruit, it made him want to lick her skin.
"What is that, that he has in his hand with the different puzzle pieces?"
Comanche pointed to one of the pictures where Josiah was holding up an award he received. Jada smiled a big but sad smile, Comanche immediately wondered what he said wrong.
"That is his award from school. Josiah has autism, and he is in a special class in school. They gave him an award for most improved in speech. He doesn't talk very well, and he's very anti-social. Because, he doesn't like people or to be around people, getting him to talk is a major deal. This year he won an award and he was so happy about it, that he made me take his picture he was so proud. Jackson was also proud of his brother, so that's why he's holding Josiah's hand up like he's a champion in the picture"
Comanche smiled, he didn't know what autism was, but he was determined to find out. He knew that if he was going to be in her life, he would have to love her children, special needs and all. He was okay with that, he wanted children and he wanted this woman, he would get a whole family in one sitting.
"That's awesome, I bet he's really smart, people probably don't give him a chance because he is special needs. They will get over it, I know you must be proud of him, proud of them both."
Jada nodded, it made her heart soar at the nice things Comanche was saying about her boys. He was right most people didn't give her boys any credit, thinking that because they were special needs they weren't intelligent. Even her ex-husband didn't like dealing with his own kids, because it took a lot of patience that he didn't have.
Comanche and Jada turned at the sound of a knock on the door. A blond nurse that neither of them had seen before walked in with a man that had transport on his shirt.
"Hi I'm Candice and I will be your new nurse for the night. We need to take you down for some more x rays. Now your wife can stay here or she can come with you, which would you prefer?"
Comanche held out his hand to Jada.
"I want her to come with me."
Jada smiled and took Comanche's hand and walked next to his bed as they wheeled him out to do more tests.
