Note: There's strong language again, so proceed with caution.
The wall was cold against Keith's back.
"Pull that stunt again, and I'll knock your teeth down your throat," Griffin growled.
"Are you that scared? You've got immunity, so there's no reason to get so mad. Unless you're worried I'll break your face." Keith taunted, though he knew he shouldn't . Griffin already had him pinned to a wall, his hands dangerously close to Keith's neck.
Griffin's face grew red. After a moment, he shoved Keith, and stepped away.
"You're not worth cracking my knuckles over." He walked away, towards the parking lot.
The boy had caught Keith after the school bell rang, and students were filing out. He'd dragged him around the corner, and shoved him against the wall. He hadn't yelled. Keith didn't know he had that kind of self control. But his voice had been sharp. quiet so no one heard. But cut-throat.
Keith stood there for a moment. He wondered if Griffin would actually take any action, or if he was too pussy. Sighing, he picked up his bag and headed for the road to home.
And he realized something. This was the first time in a long time he had felt like he had a home. He hadn't felt that since his dad had died. But with Shiro and Adam, he had a place where he felt safe and welcome. It was strange, that warmth in his chest. He smiled to himself, despite the little twinge of pain he got in the ribs when he moved too fast, or where his skin was sore from griffin pushing him against the wall.
"Keith!" It was surprisingly Pidge who had called him. Keith turned, walking backwards. They were running towards him, waving their arms.
"Damn your long ass legs!" They said, breathless, "anyways, do you wanna come with us to the arcade later? Hunk wants to beat his high score on Fight Man Macho, and Allura's gonna be there. You haven't really met her, but she's great!" Pidge's face was red from running to catch up with him.
"Sure, I got nothing else to do." Keith shrugged, smiling.
"Cool. We'll pick you up at six in the Clunker."
"The clunker?"
"It's what we call hunk's shitty van. He came up with it." Pidge explained, then waved goodbye and ran back to catch their ride.
Keith turned back around and went home.

It was actually closer to six thirty when they picked Keith up. He climbed into the back of the "Clunker" and rode along to the arcade. To be honest, he'd never actually been to an arcade. He thought they'd stopped existing after at-home consoles came out. But not in this small east coast town.
When they got there, Pidge and Hunk immediately broke off to play the Macho Fight Man game, or whatever it was. He, Lance, and Allura opted for stopping at the snack bar and getting a basket of fires to share. Keith was surprised when he realized the place was also a skating rink.
"You two down to blade later?" Lance asked.
"Hell yeah, you've gotta show me those moves you've been bragging about for so long." Allura was enthusiastic. It was obvious the two of them had known each other for so long.
"I don't know man, first you drag me out to an ice skating rink for the first time, and now a roller blading rink for the first time? I don't think I could handle that," Keith said jokingly.
