She stood at the gate, her muscles flexing beneath the fabric from the wind chill blowing through the thin material and into her bones. She shivered and shoved her hands deep into her pockets, as far as they would reach in the small pouches. Her knuckles not leaving much room in the tiny space. She pushed her head down and walked on as the gate opened and the guards hollered for them all to "Get the hell out of here," Other men shouted curses back at the guards, others laughed and took off aware of their freedom. A few ran into the arms of loved ones. She walked past them all, unnoticed, despite her tall figure.

She stood 5 foot 6, about 220 of thick, solid muscle, built through years of hard manual work and good genetics. She had always been a fit woman, but with nothing but time inside, she had nothing better to do but to workout. Her solid rough form had turned chiseled and cut in the right areas. She walked, not entirely sure what the future held, but for now she knew only one thing: she needed a big fat burger and a shot of whiskey.

She had a small amount of money that the prison gave her before she left, along with one change of clothing and a bag. The rest she had to figure out on her own. Luckily, she had a friend willing to offer her a place to stay along with a decent job in a small construction business. She had no real family, just past memories of foster families that didn't care until she was old enough to be out on her own.

After that the bad choices were made one after the other until she ended up in prison doing 5 years for losing her temper with someone who had it coming. The coma hadn't been intentional, but attempted murder was the charge and so she did the time willingly and suffered through. Prison wasn't as bad for her, with size on her side. She had kept to herself and others left her be. She was ready to somehow fit back into society, she wasn't sure how that would work, but her main goal was to just stay out of trouble. She wasn't a bad person, nor was she a trouble maker. She was just dealt unfortunate cards that she didn't play very well. She planned to keep her head down, find a place, and make some money and from then on, who knows. She had no love, she had to peace, she just had her life, which wasn't much.

She walked for miles, the cold nothing but a minor annoyance at this point, as the daylight turned into dusk, the snow began falling, the wind chill dropping and the side of the road freezing. She could see the town ahead and dredged on.

She opened the door slowly and walked into the bar, the smell of fried food and spilt beer blasting her face, entering her nose, filling her lungs and making her mouth water. Several heads turned in her direction; eyes widened, and then quickly looked away, afraid of her reaction. She was used to that, people being afraid of her. She was an intimidating character. For them her size was cartoonish and abnormal for a girl. She belonged in the freak show as The World's Strongest Woman, or in the wrestling ring on television. She kept her eyes down and made her way to an empty barstool. She set down her bag gently, her muscles relaxing in the warm heat of the building. She shifted her tall frame on the stool, her feet resting on the floor. The bartender asked her what she'd like and she ordered her burger and alcohol.

She stared at her hands, looking at the lines in her palm. She watched her fingers flex, as she closed her fist and re opened it. She ran her left hand through her blond hair and rubbed her jaw. She hadn't realized she had it clenched while she was walking, it was feeling sore now. She left her hand resting on her face and let her elbow lean on the counter, looking deep in thought, though thinking of nothing. Her food came, she devoured it in minutes, though relishing in the taste of a burger; she hadn't had one in years. It filled her up fast. She chased the burger down with the shot of whiskey and asked for water. She would have ordered more, but her money supply was limited and she had to be smart. She gulped down the water, waiting for her ride.

Half hour or so later, a hard slap came down onto her back, that sort of thing would make almost anyone flinch, but she only turned her head to look. Standing there was her old friend, biggest damn smile on his face, arms wide open for a hug.
