Glancing down at Starbursts mane I urged her into a canter. My beautiful grey mare floated round the arena majestically.
My name by the way is Natalie. One thing I must get straight with you however is that I didn't get my pony Starburst in an ordinary way. One day I was taking my Labradoodle: Frazzle for a walk. As we entered a huge field I noticed a small hut. This was a path that I'd never taken before. Enquiring to myself whether I should inspect the hut got me nowhere. Eventually I found myself on auto pilot and creeping towards the shed.
I heard no sound at first but as I got closer a slight shuffle flew into my ear. Being very curious I peered inside. What stood inside astounded me...
Right before my very eyes was a thin, scared, mucky pony. All it's legs were tied together. It had no food or water. It had cuts and grazes all over it. The poor mare was unloved. She was a grey heap of bones.
I crept towards her gingerly. First she shyest away however she didn't do very well due to her legs being tied up. Finally I managed to stroke her tender nose.
My dog was running wildly in the field while I had my moment with the mare. After a long half hour I decided to call my Mum. When she (Angela) saw the poor pony I noticed a tear trickling out if her eye.
A while later my Mother called a charity. They inspected the pony who I had now named Starburst. Then after a solid hour of contract signing done my Angela or Angie as her friends call her: Starburst was mine.
