Riding wild

Chapter 5

Bored out of my mind I landed on my bed in a puff. I'd mucked out and cleaned tack. Skyler was at her Grand parents. I wanted to ride Starburst later so I had nothing to do.

I heard a truck rumbling towards our door. Bouncing up I went to investigate. In the truck lay: lots of cross country jumps; many wings; some fillers; a few planks and tons of poles.

My mum's friends heaved them out. Then they went to put the cross country jumps in the field. Dan and Greg my Mothers friends are course designers so that was very helpful. After that they would place the show jumps in a different field.

I was extremely happy. We'd been waiting for the jumps a long time. Then out from the drivers seat peered a strange person. They had a cap overlooking their eyes and a black polo neck.

Still creeped out by the man sitting in the front seat I decided to go to the stable and ride Fizzy. Even though Starburst is at home I still want go to the stable. Fizzy's head popped out from licking his salt lick.

Due to my weard feeling about that man in the truck Fizzy wasn't too good. He picked up on my feelings and reacted by spooking and being plain silly. Anyway he settled down as the ride went on. At the end of my ride he flew over a 3ft jump.
