The year was 1995.

A year full of partying and feeling what high school truly was about. Mind the tests, exams, and everything that does not relatively relate to 'fun'.

Our dearest Gloria was heading out of Spanish class. She was the top student, her dream, to become valedictorian.

You see, Gloria didn't believe in the need of having friends. She believed school was to primarily learn.

But, now that she was fifteen, the once tight belief became loose.

She bumped into people in that tiny hallway who didn't recognize her.

Until.

One day, they did.

"Pss," A girl whispered to her seat partner, "Give this to Gloria, will ya?"

He nodded and gave it to her.

Gloria felt a paper hit a scrunchy on her hand. She dropped her pencil and picked up the note.

Hey, Gloria!
Meet us after school, we've got a new fly idea for us to do next!
Think about it,
Travis

Gloria scrunched up her nose in confusion and looked back at the boy who gave it to her.

With her bad luck, he wasn't even looking at her anymore.

The bell rung and she tried catching up to the boy but, he was soon joined by his friends.

The day rushed by like a song, and soon, she was standing in front of the room 243B.

She was going to knock but, one of the most popular girls in school opened it.

"What do you want, nerd?" She chewed on her gum rather loudly, a pet peeve Gloria had.

Gloria felt her vocal chords disappear and so she just handed her the note.

"On snap!" She pulled the door open, "Um, come in or whatever."

Gloria nodded, her high ponytail bouncing behind her.

She took a seat far from the others.

Why would the cool kids invite me here?, She thought.

After a few minutes, only three more people came and the same girl that brought her in, slammed the door shut.

"Welcome to our new club! I promise ya it's all that and a bag of chips, we just have to get started!"

People 'hoot'ed and some clapped.

"Helena, why are you actin' like you own this club? Clearly all of us came up with this." A boy named Richard rolled his eyes, "At least let me do the attendance."

"Ugh, as if!" She walked forward.

It's so not fair that all of these people have such rad names! I'm stuck with Gloria., She slumped in her desk.

"And Gloria?" Helena looked around.

"H-Here." Poor Gloria was so nervous, she'd never hang out with any cool kids before.
