-Les❤️Dad smiled, "This is my step-daughter, Kristy."
I stood there, unable to move.
I knew I saw her from somewhere other than the beach.
But, how? I didn't even know about my dad's new family.
"Why don't you guys unpack? Kristy, would you mind helping?" Dad's wife said.
"No," She didn't take her eyes off Sky for a second, "Not at all."
We walked up the stairs and dropped our things in the guest room.
"I'm Kristy." She smiled. "You probably know that already."
I smiled back, "Yeah. We do, what a coincidence."
Kristy furrowed her eyebrows, "Oh, I wasn't talking to you. Henry and I go way back."
I chuckled, "Is that so? Pretty embarrassing isn't it? Throwing yourself onto him...he rejecting you and calling a taxi."
She glared at me, "Mind your business. I never suspected you of all people to be the girlfriend. This is going to be easy, then."
I stepped up to her, "Watch it, Krusty."
Kristy laughed, "What? That's it? Wow, I'm terrified."
Sky started taking his things out, "Why are you even here? Aren't you also twenty?"
Her expression changed in milliseconds, "I stay here since this house is so big. Wouldn't you?"
Sky shook his head, "Summers' house is better."
I smiled at her and began taking only the necessary things out.
I left my clothes in the suitcase, in case I left by tonight.
What? I can already tell this girl is going to drive me right out.
Dad's wife knocked on the door, "Dinner's ready. By the way, call me Nancy."
I nodded, saying a quick thank you and grabbing Sky's hand.
We all went downstairs, dad already sitting down.
"Why don't you sit next to me, Juniper? Just like old times." Dad smiled at me.
I went to go sit next to Sky though, Kristy beat me to it.
I sat across from her, next to my dad.
Nancy was at the king's seat of the table.
