Engagement Ball??

(5 MONTHS LATER)

Jace's P.O.V

   It's been five months since Clary had come, life couldn't be more perfect. Clary and I have become really close. We have had a few fights. Mostly me being too overprotective, Clary has been acting weird lately. She's been getting letters from Russia. I'm sure there from her parents but it seems that every time she's done reading them she's always sad or angry. I'll have to ask about it later. But on to more important matters, Clary and I are having a engagement ball. My fathers idea, all the important royals are coming as well as Clary's parents and her brother. I'm about to go get Clary and tell her it's time to go meet my parents for breakfast. I walk into our room and I see Clary on the bed crying, "Love, what's wrong why are you upset?" I ask. "It's nothing Jace really, I'm just nervous to see my father again", she says. Why are you nervous?, "Jace my Papa is different than your's. If I don't do exactly what he thinks I should he'll be angry and I don't want to disappoint him." Clary said. I looked into her eyes, "Clary, if he is angry then he doesn't understand how hard you work. Ever since I met you you've done nothing but work to make this work. I gesture between our bodies, You're the one who calmed me down after I had the fight with Father. You're the one who showed me what love really was and I'm so so lucky to have you, and I can't wait to marry you. Soon to be Mrs. Herondale, I say smiling. She looks at me and I pull her into a kiss. "No matter what happens, I promise you Clary I will be there for you through everything," I whisper.

Clary's P.O.V.

These past few months have been amazing. Jace and I get closer every day, as does our wedding. I've been receiving letters... from Simon. When the first letter arrived I thought it was from my mother. Then after opening it I quickly realized it wasn't, Simon wrote to me. He talked about how he missed me and that he wants me to leave Jace for him. Jace is starting to get suspicious especially after our last fight.  ( 2 weeks ago)  "Clary? Where are you?" Jace asks. He walks into our room. " There you are. Whats this?" he asks. Picking up a single rose, the rose that Simon sent me. " Its nothing" I reply. "Clary you're telling me that someone sent you a single rose who's not your fiance and you say it's nothing!" Jace exclaims. Yes! Jace it is nothing! I scream back. "No Clarissa it is not nothing now tell me who sent this to you." Jace yells. So where back to Clarissa now are we! I yell. " Yes! because you won't tell me who sent you a bloody rose Clarissa! He yells. JACE! It's a rose, nothing more and I don't who sent it It was in here when I arrived! I scream. He takes a deep breath, "You're right. I'm sorry Clary I just feel that one day you're going to wake up and realize I'm not good enough for you. I stand up and walk over to him. Jace, I say, You will always be enough. He looks into my eyes and pulls me closer to him and places a kiss against my lips. ( END FLASHBACK). I'm sitting on our bed and looking at a letter from my sister Maria. She's saying how Papa is getting angry that Jace and I haven't gotten married yet and he's rethinking the marriage. I sit crying when Jace walk in, "Love, What's wrong?" I quickly tell him everything that has happened. He tells me that he will be there for me and that he won't let my father separate us.

Simon's P.O.V.

5 months.. its been 5 months since Clary left to be with Prince Jace. We had a plan, to get married we where going to tell her parents we where in love and that we wanted to get married. And then she leaves, off to France to get married. The Emperor and Empress are leaving today to go to her engagement ball. Since Clary left I was promoted to guard by the Emperor. I will be going with them to help protect the Crown Prince. I've been sending Clary letters, but she hasn't replied. Probably too risky, I will when her heart back. She needs me, we need each other I'm her other half and she's mine.

Jace's P.O.V.

Today is Clary's and I's engagement ball. I'm meeting her parents and brother for the first time today. Clary seems nervous, especially after her last letter from Russia. My mother wants to help Clary get ready and she sent me to get her. "Clary? My love? are you in here?", I ask. "Yes in the closet!", Clary yells. I walk into the closet and see her looking into a box, "What is it Love?", I ask.  "It's a crown that my mother sent with me, I think I might where it tonight.", She says. "Well I think it is beautiful just like you", I say and press a kiss against her temple. A blush rises to her cream colored cheeks. "You still seem to make me nervous even after all these months," she says. "I'm glad, I like seeing you blush." I say. "My mother wants to help you get ready she sent me to get you." Clary nods, I pull her into my arms and raise her chin. I look into her green eyes and place a long sweet kiss on her lips. "I'll see you in a hour," she says. I nod and watch her as she leaves the room.

Clary's P.O.V.

  After getting ready it is finally time to go into the ball. Jace see's me and walks over, "My love, you..you look amazing", he says a smile on his face. I lean up and place a kiss on his lips and then take his hand, "Are you ready?" he asks. I nod. "Then let us go and face our future",  Jace says. The announcer calls our names, " Their Highness Prince Jace Herondale and his bride her imperial highness Clarissa Morgenstern." We walk into the ball room and everyone applauded. I'm quickly pulled into a hug by my mother, "Oh Clarissa I've missed you so very much". "I've missed you to Mamma," I say. After hugging my father and brother Jace comes and puts a hand on my back. " Mother, Father this is my fiancee Jace." I say. Jace bows to my parents and then gives my father a handshake. "It is a honor to finally meet you you're majesty's," Jace says. They exchange in conversation and then Jace and I are asked to dance. After our dance we are pulled away from each other by other royals, asking the questions. When will the wedding be? Am I invited? Other questions like that. Then suddenly I'm pulled away from the crowd harshly, "Ow, How dare you! I start to exclaim until I see who it is.... Simon.

Jace's P.O.V.

Clary and I are pulled away from each other and after a few of the royals I'm really missing my fiancee. Looking all around and then asking my parents and her's I finally see someone grab Clary very harshly and anger boils in my veins. I quickly walk into the hallway and see Clary pushed against a wall, a man pushing her arms up onto the wall. "What the hell!" I scream.
