Hallway Wars

The bell rang throughout the school as classroom doors opened and kids left. It was at moments like this that many people rushed to their next class, ran to their lockers, or quite simply..talk in the middle of the hallway with another person which leads to...a phenomenon by the name of, "Hallway wars!" The hallway war is a  game of survival. With just one main rule-try not to bump into people that could beat the living helll out of you and make it to class on time. Seems easy, right?

Wrong.

Recalling the two people in the hallway talking Sayori heard whispering about a fight breaking out because of it. She shrugged it off... atleast for the time being.

After a while of avoiding big crowds The salmon haired girl made her way through and got to class on time. In that  short time span she hadn't noticed Natsuki anywhere. She tapped her pencil against her desk nervously as the bell soon enough rang and class began.

Earlier that morning

"Pfft- so then what did you do? Jump into the lake for your book?

"Of course I did! It was the best decision ever by the way! There's no way in hell I'm letting a 15 dollar book go to waste like that!"

"Natsuki...You're really something..." The purple haired girl stood up from her seat as she stretched a light bit- letting her uniforms top go a tad bit up befor she threw away her can.

Natsuki only gulped for a moment as she stood up as well.

"The bells going to ring soon...where's your friend...sayori was it?"

"Yeah...she's probably with Miss passed-out-in-the-middle-of-a-speech..." The pinkette only tossed her drink in the trashcan as she held onto her bag and followed Yuri in the hallway.

"Natsuki...if you don't mind me asking, why do you hate Monika?"

The girl only looked down at the tile floor as they continued to walk, "She-"
Before Natsuki could speak the bell rang and all the classroom doors opened as students came rushing out.

The two continued to walk and eventually Natsuki bumped into someone a tall student who seemed to be a third year.

"Watch where you're going short stack...! don't want you getting trampled since no one can really see you down there." The boy laughed as he held onto his stuff while his friend stood next to him. "Oh? Yuri! I was looking for you! You have any plans later today? You and I could go somewhere if you want?" As the boy spoke he rested his arm on the shorter girl's head.

"Ah...I-"

Natsuki didn't turn but instead only dropped her bag and pulled her elbow back to hit his stomach before pushing him away from Yuri , "Alright, smartass... You're in her way."

The boy held onto his stomach as he tried catching his breath again and stood up, "What? Are you her tiny bodyguard? Don't make me laugh, You've got nothing on me Short stack!" not too long after he began laughing as Natsuki calmly took off her vest uniform and rolled up her sleeves.

People were now starting to take notice and stopped to watch what was going on.

"Natsuki...It's not that serious we can leave-" The taller, more timid girl was cut off as Natsuki glanced back at her, "Don't worry about me...I've been in enough fights to know how idiot's like this work,  it'll be a piece of cake." She gave her a small wink as she turned and glanced back at the third year.

"Alright kiddo I'll make this quick and send you to the infirmary." He stretched a bit as he took off his vest as well.

There was loud yells of the crowd as the two finally started throwing punches at each other. It was true Natsuki had been in plenty of fights. It was all too normal...for a short while before her dad drank she would go practice boxing and taekwondo.

It was all to help sayori for the most part. It didn't matter who it was, the pinkette would step in and get sent to the infirmary over and over again.

There was a loud whistle that could be heard all around the hallway, people flinched and the crowd soon enough began to break apart.

Oh, and one more rule of the hallway wars is - Don't get caught by student council.

One word that could describe the room was...quiet. There was but three people in the office, The principal - who was stacking and fixing his papers. Natsuki -  who had a bandage on the side of her cheek and a small smudge of blood under her nose. The boy beside her by the name of Daniel was wearing a few bandages aswell. The principal cleared his throat before tidying up his papers one last time and looked at them both.

"Natsuki Morri, Witnesses say you pushed Daniel yoon after he began to speak in a inappropriate manner with fellow student, Yuri Jeong- who was feeling uncomfortable by his approach-is this correct?"

The pinkette looked down at floor, "Yes sir..."

The principal glanced at her and then Daniel as he began to fix his papers with a sigh, "It's quite disappointing seeing a freshmen with this sort of troublesome behavior. Especially on her first week of school..."

"please see me tomorrow in the morning before class you have an in school suspension while Yoon has three days."

"That is all, please return to class."

Right before Natsuki could open the door, the principal spoke once again, "Morri...Yoon...I will have to contact both of your parents about this-You may leave."

Natsuki froze for a moment as she heard the principal's last statement. She only bit her lip as she opened the door, "Yes sir."
