psa: sorry these few chapter have been short and boring, but harry & hermione finally kissed so yay!!! this chapter is short too and i'm sorry but 🤷🏽‍♀️

btw these next few chapters will be more so in Hermione's perspective than Harry's.

Finally, a smile was clearly evident upon Hermione's face countless times throughout the day. She knew that she had not been the only girl within the school that Harry Potter had kissed, but it surely felt like it was the only thing that kept the two sane. They were discreet in their movements, his deadly smirk visible from a mile away when his gaze caught hers, but Hermione could not ignore the pitching in her stomach for another moment with him where their lips were locked and nothing could be heard but the sound of her mewls as she yearned for more. It had been several days since the encounter, and this time it was Hermione who was staying on the far side of Harry's whereabouts, occasionally finding herself grinning like an idiot when his jet black hair came to mind.

How would she ever be able to host a conversation with him again if she couldn't even contain herself from leaning forewords and make herself at everlasting peace with her guilty pleasures?

Ron had yet to know, but Hermione thought it'd be best if the storm would unleash its outcome before she reaped the destruction. Besides, Ron and Lavender were bickering at their worst, constantly seen screaming at each other, each fight similar to the last, ending with Lavender rushing from the scene with evident tears rushing from her eyes. It was quite comical, Hermione was hesitant to admit, but only because Ron's utterly carefree attitude was slowly coming to light, and it was making Lavender livid.

Throughout the duration of Potions class, whenever Hermione looked up, Harry's eyes began to slither in her direction, with his tongue evidently being bitten by his beautiful teeth. She would in turn glance down at her palms again, attempting to return to the directions of the project even when that last thing on her mind was how to conduct an antidote for love potions, which was probably being studied due to Ron.

Since the electrifying kiss, few words have been spoken, but for that prolonged silence, Hermione was rather grateful. As time passed she came to further anticipate the next one, if there were to be a next one. Just these looks were exchanged, the looks where Harry smirked or bit his lip and Hermione's face grew as red as a berry and she looked away quickly, however smiling. He was quite attractive, Hermione thought to herself. It surely was a bit awkward, kissing the person you previously viewed as a brother like figure, but at the same time, Hermione failed to recall a feeling that felt more natural.

But it was possible that placing Harry in that position more detrimental and pathetic than the friend-zone was used as a cover up to the fact that she could not be pressured into liking both Ron and Harry at once. As Slughorn dismisses the class until the next day, Harry and Hermione stood up simultaneously in an effort to meet each other half way, both with premature grins evident on their youthful faces, but Hermione was snapped back into reality when Ron interjected her path and she collided into his chest.

"Sorry," Ron said softly, his cheeks already red with embarrassment. "I need to talk to you."

Hermione stood up on her toes to look over the broadness of Ron's shoulder in order to view Harry's whereabouts, but he sent her a knowingly smile and took off toward the door. Undoubtedly, Hermione was irritated because she only wanted to be with Harry in the moment, but Ron could not yet know the beautiful moment that they shared quite yet, so she simply rolled her eyes and turned back to Ron.
