^^ what a fucking cutie
Hermione scribbled a note in her potions book, smirking to herself with the knowledge that technically, she was not supposed to be writing in it, and she was therefore breaking the rules. Only a millisecond passed before she began to regret her rebellious decision and leaned over to retrieve her wand, mumbling a counter curse to make the messy writing disappear. Setting her quill on the table, Hermione closed her book and began to agonize after how many minutes she actually spent studying. Being Harry Potter's girlfriend, as strange as that was admit, did nothing to calm the amount of school work she had. In fact, since they were still sneaking around in between classes and his sessions with Dumbledore, it actually made things harder. But she didn't like to think of it that way.
She was waiting for Harry to be done with his first session of detention so that she could have her first secret rendezvous with him. Her stomach could not stop fluttering in a mix between anticipation and anxiousness, and she was not yet certain if the feeling was enjoyable or annoying.
Her thoughts were suddenly interrupted by the obnoxiously loud footsteps of someone who had to be Ron, she could hear him angrily murmur a password to the Fat Lady. The portrait hole swung open to reveal the young boy, as angry and red-faced as ever, charging toward Hermione with an infuriated expression. She sucked in a breath and stood up as he halted in front of her.
"Ron please.." Hermione began, only to be cut off by the wave of Ron's hand.
"Don't you dare, Hermione. Don't say a word until I get all of this out. I deserve to speak my mind, okay? Don't answer that, understand?" Ron boomed, startling Hermione at first, but she eventually nodded. "I cannot believe you! Are you seriously shagging Harry? My best friend? Are you OUT OF YOUR MIND? You are seriously the most selfish person I have ever encountered in my entire life, and the WORST part of all of it is that I had to find out from Seamus Finnigan that the people that I thought were my friends were going about the school behind my back! You really must think I'm a bloody idiot, don't you?"
"No, I don't." Hermione interrupted boldly. "You have a right to be angry, but he was there for me. He's been there for me this entire time, and I understand it may take some getting used to us, but-"
"Us? What the hell, Hermione? This isn't you! You sound like Lavender right now, desperate for attention and all. First Krum, then me, then Cormac, then Harry? Who's next, Neville? I've already vomited enough seeing you snog in the hallway."
A portion of Hermione's soul sunk as a result of Ron's words and her lip quivered as she opened her mouth to speak. She wanted to believe that this was purely his pain talking, but she wasn't all too convinced. "Don't do that, don't act like I go around parading my body all over school begging for boys to come to me, because I don't! Besides, when you started dating Lavender, I did not give you a hard time!"
