Kai's Unfortunate Circumstance

Kai POV:

When I woke up, I felt the wind nip at my skin. I was confused for a couple of seconds before I remembered the last punishment. I felt embarrassed by the whole thing while at the same time..I felt ashamed. Ashamed for letting myself bend to the Overlord's will just because of a foreign sensation that I never experienced till now. Why? Why did this have to happen? Chosen for a cruel destiny that would kill me from the inside out. A destiny that I'm sure that no one wants in their lifetime.

I can only imagine how my family reacted to the news. They were probably disgusted of how I allowed myself to be molested by the Overlord. I also bet that some would even glare at me with distain and stay clear of me. I feel tears pooling in my eyes just thinking about it. My family..would turn there back on me without a second thought. Something that scares me to the very end. 

I was startled out of my thoughts by the sound of the dungeon door opening and saw..him. 

"Hello Darling, How was your nap?" He asked.

"I..It was good." I Said. Normally I would try to act tough, but after the punishment..I feel weird around him.

"I brought you food. Now eat up." He said. I quickly eat the food while trying to avoid eye contact with the Overlord. What was this feeling? I only felt this before with Lloyd, but now I feel this way with the Overlord of all people?! Sighing..I quickly gave him back the plate and started to sit down for a bit before falling back asleep. 

"I told your friends about what we did Darling. You should have seen their reactions towards it..I think that you would've enjoyed it." He said. I felt my blood freeze at that. They know. They know. THEY KNOW!!! 

"How did they take it?" I asked.

"They looked disgusted. They said they regret ever allowing you to be apart of the team and that they never want to see you again." The Overlord Said. I felt tears stream down my face from the fact that they said those things. It hurts knowing that the people who you cared for and trusted..turns there back on you. Especially when it's from your sister and Lloyd.

"B..But we..w..were...fam..family." I Said between tears.

"They don't think so. Darling..You don't need them and they don't need you. All you need is me. I'll always be there for you so just trust me." The Overlord Said. 

After that the Overlord left me alone. Was what he said really true? My friends..my family..abandoned me. He is all that I have left. What should I do?

Should I keep staying loyal to my friends or..Should I trust the Overlord?
