Kai's Unfortunate Circumstance

Stopping The Wedding Part 4

This has some violence.

Overlord POV:

After crushing the drone, I walked over to the cell holding my future bride who seemed dejected. Not like mattered since my bride will become happy in the next couple of hours. For now, I need to move him to another part of our home so I carefully opened up the cell door and grabbed his left arm. He flinched, but didn't try to do anything since he feared punishment. 

"W..Where are you taking me?" He asked.

"I'm taking you to get properly prepared for our wedding." I said. He seemed nervous when I said that, but kept silent. Good. Even now, I can see that thoughts of rescue still plague his mind. Something that will most definitely be destroyed once his new life with me begins. He will be forever stuck by my side...immortal, beautiful and with a new purpose in his life.

"Um...may I ask if I can use the bathroom by..." Kai started to ask before I cut him off.

"No. I know what you're thinking and escape will never be possible. You will be my queen, stay by my side and give us heirs to raise." I said causing him to pale. After that, I continued our journey to our soon to be shared room. He looked around with some amazement while taking note of the windows and doors. At first, I thought that he would try to flee to one of them and jump in order to get away. However, he didn't since my earlier statement must have zapped all thoughts of escape away from his mind...for now. 

Shaking my head, I carefully told him to go to the bathroom and wait for me. As he did so, I summoned some special friends to help entertain the ninja who are still trying to take my Kai away from me. 

What do you require of us?

A dark voice said beside me as I barely glanced at them. They were going to be the distraction as our wedding takes place. 

"I want you to distract those pests who will most likely try to destroy my special day." I said.

Understood. Do you want them dead or alive?

"If this was another time then I would surely want them disposed of, but since this day is important...I wish for them to be alive. I want them to witness the wedding between my queen while watching their pitiful faces." I said. After saying that, the presence beside me disappeared. Get ready ninja, your quest to save your friend will only end in failure.

Now, back to my time with my future wife.

Nya POV:

Anger. I could feel anger rush through my body as I kept seeing my poor brother's state in that dungeon. Though that was only one source of my rage as that creep revealed that he basically stole my brother's memories.

"Nya? Are you..." Jay started to say I cut him off.

"I'm not fine, Jay. We need to get to Kai now and get him out before the wedding is completed." I said. 

"That's going to easier said than done. Unfortunately, the Overlord will do whatever it takes to make sure that we won't get to Kai in time." Zane said.

"We can't sit here and do nothing. Besides, I can only shudder to know that we left him here and let the Overlord do whatever he wants." Lloyd said.

"Now I can't get that image out of my head." Jay complained.

"Not now, Jay. Despite the odds, we are going inside and rescuing Kai from this terrible fate." Cole said.

"We need to tread carefully. Who knows who or what is under the Overlord's command." Zane said. I slowly turned around to see the Overlord's home and glared at it. Hang on, Kai. You'll be free soon.

Kai POV:

My future husband carefully started to wash my hair while I tried to keep still. I can't believe that I have to marry this cruel man. Especially since I lost some memories before ending up in that cell. Part of me knew that my future husband had a hand in their disappearance. Ugh. How I hate him.

I hope that some kind of rescue will occur to save me from this mess, but I can't see that happening. Not to mention that I sometimes remember a girl with short black hair and a man with blonde hair. 

Maybe they were important to me in my past memories? I softly chuckled to myself since I knew that there was no way that I'll ever meet people like that...right?
