Kai's Unfortunate Circumstance

Kai POV:

It's been a couple of hours since the Overlord left me alone. He left me alone with my thoughts which gives me time to process what he told me. He wants to marry me without my consent. The very thought made me want to vomit. I don't want to marry someone who would place ninjago in danger. However I don't have a choice. It all depends on how fast my friends could finds me. Sighing..I think back on all of my good memories that I gained with my friends..my brothers..my family. 

I was so busy with my thoughts that I didn't notice that the Overlord came back to the dungeon. When I finally noticed, I tried to put on a brave face to keep him from finding out how scared I am. He just laughed and came in with..food.

"Hello my bride. I've brought you some food." He said. He set the food where I can easily reach it and just looked at me silently. I quietly started to eat since he would just force me to eat it if I tried to starve myself. 

"I see that you liked it my bride. There would be plenty more for you to eat until it's time for our big day." The Overlord Said. I just glared at him when he said that because it was mainly HIS big day. 

"If you think that food would change my mind about loving you then you're sadly mistaken. My friends will save me and we will destroy you." I Shouted. The Overlord glared and quickly grabbed my throat and started to squeeze it.

"My dear..You don't want to try my patience. I'll forgive you if you quit talking about your pesky friends, however if you keep talking about them then I'll have to punish you." He said.

"I will never stop talking about them. No matter what you do..I will not forget about them." I Said. He growled at me and threw me back towards the wall. When I slide down from the inpact, my whole body felt painful. I felt blood trickle down my mouth and I didn't have the energy to move. The Overlord quickly came over and started to kick me in my stomach which made me vomit the food that I ate. 

"Look what you made me do. My dear..You made a major mistake defying me so..you will just sit here and starve for a couple of days. I hope that you enjoy the next couple of days." He said before he walked out of the room and slammed the door.

When he left, I silently started to cry. Is this my life now? Marrying a person who has no qualms punishing me for speaking my mind. I hope that this nightmare ends, but at this point I can only hope that my friends will find me. 

Lloyd POV:

Kai is gone. Taken from us by the Overlord. I hope that he's alright, but I know that the Overlord would just hurt him to make us suffer. I felt tears run down my eyes thinking of how much Kai is suffering. I wish that we can find him, but we're basically looking for a nail in a haystack. We won't give up on finding him. We will find you Kai and destroy the Overlord. Just wait for us..My beautiful Kai.
