Lexie's P.O.V.

The next morning I woke up and saw that Mark was gone I quickly got up and dressed in one of Mark's old hoodies. I then took my phone and failed Mer's number. After three rings she finally answered. "Hey Lex what's up?Zola put that down." I start giggling "You think this is funny don't you" Mer joked. "Actually yes. Uhmm in any case guess what?Mark purposed last night." "Finally!" she said "Wait you knew and didn't tell me" "Yeah but why would I tell you if it's a surprise." "Valid point.See you at work today?" "Yeah see you.Zola please stop that.Sorry Lex gotta go.Bye Love you." "Bye love you too." I put the phone down and went out to the kitchen hugging a shirtless Mark from the back. "Good morning my future to be husband." "Good morning my future to be wife." he turns around and we share a kiss. He turns back around. "Would you like some bacon and eggs for breakfast with some coffee?" "That sounds good.I'm gonna go shower and get ready." I quickly kiss him on the cheek. "Want me to come help you?" he smirks. "No I think I'll manage." I then went to go shower and wash my hair. I then got dressed did my hair and makeup and looked for my ring. I then went back to the kitchen. "Mark have you seen my ring?" he then walks up to me with two plates of food. He places them down on the table and takes my hand and slides on the ring. "It looks pretty on you." I smirk and kiss him. "Of course it does." we then both eat breakfast. After breakfast I quickly went to brush my teeth and locked the apartment and went out to Mark's car where he was waiting for me. I then get into the car and we went to the hospital. When we parked I quickly got out the car and took Marks hand. We then spotted Meredith,Derek and Zola. "Yeah there's the soon to be husband and wife. How does it feel to be engaged?" Derek suddenly asks me and Mark. "It feels weird but I'll get used to it." I say giving him a hug then going to Mer an Zola. "Hey Mer,hey Zola." I quickly hug Meredith and taking Zola. Mark's pager suddenly went off he kissed me. "See you at home" he then walks away with Derek and I walk with Mer to daycare to drop off Zola when I see Sofia running towards us and she and Zola start talking in baby voices. Suddenly my pager goes off "OR 3" I then greet Zola,Sofia and Mer and run to the OR floor and into OR 3. I then scrub in and went in. I saw Dr.Bailey and asked her why she paged me. "My patient here has a brain tumor and Dr.Shepherd is busy so I need you to operate." I then look at her. "Right away Doctor." I then started the surgery but realize the tumor is a lot bigger. "Dr.Bailey can you just quickly come look here." she then walks till next to me. "Dammit uhmm can you just see how much you can take out and then we'll try again tomorrow." I then continue the surgery and after 3 hours of surgery I closed successfully. I then went to the scrub room and scrubbed out when Dr.Bailey stood next to me. "Thank you Dr.Grey for helping me save my patient I really appreciate it." "You're welcome but I was just doing my job." just then my pager went off. I quickly went out and went to The Chiefs office where I saw Meredith. I then went in "Hey Mer do you know why we got paged?" she shakes her head. "Did you kill someone recently and don't remember it?" she asks me joking and I start laughing with her. Just then Owen entered the room with Dr.Webber. Meredith and I looked at each other confused and then I realized it had something to do with our father because the last time me and Meredith was paged to this office together with Richard it was because of our father. "Just tell me what has he done this time?" Meredith suddenly looks at me confused and then she nodded her head. "Girls I'm really sorry to inform you that you're father is in the hospital." after telling us what happened me and Meredith went out of the office to his room and I saw him there with a younger girl. I then look at Meredith. "Are you coming Mer?" she sighs and then nods her head. We then both walked in and greeted him just then he asked me to leave the room. I left and he talked to Meredith. What felt like hours she finally came out. "What did he say?" "He was actually kinda charming.But he seemed really sad and Id hate to see it happen again so I thought that I'd try to forgive him for your sake but only yours." "You know what Meredith he's a liar. And I'm glad. Really I'm glad that you found him charming. I'm sure he was delightful. He's a blast after five drinks not so much after nine though he gets a little weepy and mean. He's a drunk,Mer. He probably told you how wonderful you are. How sad he is that he doesn't get to spend more time with you. You know yesterday he told me I was his favorite daughter. The day before, I was an ungrateful bitch. The week before he wrote me a check for $20,000,because he said I deserved everything life had to offer,because he was so proud of me a lifetime's worth of proud." Mer suddenly dragged me into the closest empty room when she saw I was crying. "So you can't listen to anything he says because it's not about you or me. It's about a pint and a half of Dewar's. But thank you for saying you're able to forgive him for me thanks." Mer suddenly hugs me. "Lex I'd do anything for you. You're my sister and I love you." we stood there for about 15 minutes when we decided to finally go back to his room.
