The Wedding

Chapter 07

Mark's P. O. V.

It's been three months since I purposed to Lexie and she last saw and spoke to her dad and the wedding is in two days so she asked Derek who by the way is my best man to walk her down the aisle. I woke up due to my pager and found myself in the on-call room. I quickly get up and go to the ER where I was paged. The paramedics then came running in with two people. "Male 27 hit his head and burnt his hand at home." I then take the guy to a trauma room and see Derek. "Dr. Shepherd I was wondering if you're busy I need an neuro attending to look at the guy's head injuries." he walks into the room reads the file and then takes the guy to get a CT after the results came back we quickly went to am OR and scrub in.
~In the OR~
"So how are you doing?You're not second guessing you're choices.I mean it's difficult to marry a Grey they are quite stubborn." Derek playfully asks me as we're busy operating. "Of course I'm not second guessing my choices in fact I can't wait to marry little Grey." I reply. "OK but remember if you hurt her I'll break your million dollar earning hands as well as your face." he laughs. "Yeah right remember the last time we fought." we both then laughed. It was very silent then for the rest of the surgery until our patient began coding. "I'll start compressions go get me a crash cart." I quickly ordered and everyone sprang to action. "Charge 250.Clear." nothing. "Again" still nothing. "Charge 350.Clear." nothing dammit. "Time if death 14:22" Derek and I then went out to scrub out and I went to lunch. After about 5 minutes Lexie came to sit next to me. "Hey" she greeted and we shared a kiss. "How was your day so far?" she asks me. "okay and yours?" "Not good I lost my first patient today as attending." I then look at her and laugh. "What's so funny?" she asks annoyed. "Nothing just that I also lost a patient today." she then smirks but her pager goes off and she left me alone. I then walked around the floor and I saw Owen he then told me that I should go home and test because I worked overtime. I then went to the attending lounge and changed into my normal clothes and went to my car. I got in my car and went straight home. At home I went to the fridge and got me a beer. I then took off my shoes and shirt. I then sat on the couch and watched TV for an hour. After another hour of sleeping my phone buzzes I quickly pick it up and saw that Amelia was calling me. "Hey Amy what's up?" "Hey Mark I wanted to know if you're still gonna come fetch me at the airport or should I call an Uber." oh shit I forgot I had to pick up Amelia, she was one of the bridesmaids along with Callie,Arizona and Christina. Meredith was the maid of honour,Zola and Sofia was the flower girls. Derek was my best man and Owen was in charge of the rings. "Mark!" "Oh sorry yeah I'm on my way." I then ended the call saw that it was already 18:30. I quickly texted Lexie telling her that I'm quickly going to fetch Amy and then I'll come get her. When I finally got to the airport I quickly helped Amy put her bags in the boot kissed her on the cheek and then we went to fetch Lexie. We waited about 10 minutes until Lexie came out. When Amelia saw Lexie she jumped out of the car and ran to Lexie. They both squealed. "Amy" Lexie yelled. "Lex" Amy yelled. They both got in the car and Lexie kissed me and then they kept talking. When we got to our apartment they stayed up all night talking and catching up. The next day I woke up and went to make breakfast. I then woke Lexie and Amelia up. I gave them their breakfast and then I went to go get ready. Just as I was about to get into the shower Lexie came in. She then kissed me and brushed her teeth. When I was busy doing my hair in the bathroom half naked Lexie came in. She then went into the shower and I brushed my teeth. I was about to leave when I realized Amy is here. "Mark can you please pass me my shaver and the shampoo?" Lexie asks. I quickly get her shaver and the shampoo and open the shower door and gave her the shampoo and shaver. I was about to close the shower door when she suddenly pulls me closer into the shower with the towel. I then took off the towel so that it's not too wet and throw it on the floor. "God I missed you yesterday night the bed was so empty.I can't wait until our honeymoon then no one will bother us." I said she laughed and kissed me. "Someone's jealous." I smirk and we start kissing again. After like 5 minutes of kissing Amelia suddenly comes into the bathroom. When she saw us kissing she went back out. "Uh Lex and Mark I don't mean to bother you in the shower both naked and fully making out but we have to hurry Mer just texted and sayed the dresses are ready for fitting." they both giggle and kiss. "Just give us a moment." I yelled. "We're coming." Lexie yelled as she kissed me a few times and then we both got out and got dressed. I then pulled her close and kissed her. I stopped when I heard Derek's voice. "I have to go." Lexie says in between kisses. "Do you really have to?" I ask fake pouting. "Yes if I don't go I'll end up walking down the aisle with my underwear." I start smiling like crazy. "that doesn't sound bad." "Yeah but then all the guys will be looking at me and you are quite the jealous type." she then kissed me greets Derek and leaves. Later that night me,Derek,Alex,Jackson,Owen,Richard and Ben went to Joe's for my Bachelor party. I got home at like 12:00 that night not too drunk. The next morning I wake up to Derek and Owen's voices. I quickly got up and got dressed. I can't believe I'm marring the love of my life today.

Lexie's P. O. V.

Yesterday we went to go try on our dresses and after that we got our nails done and then we had movie night Meredith's. I woke up this morning with Meredith bringing me breakfast in bed. As soon as that was done I went to go shower and Doctor Bailey did my hair. Meredith did my makeup. After my hair,makeup and nails were done everyone else did their own hair and makeup and got dressed Meredith and Amelia then helped me get dressed. We then stood next to each other and stared. After a while Callie came in with Sofia and told me it was almost time to go. After what felt like hours but was only minutes we went out to the limo and went to the venue. We were half way there now when Callie cleared her throat. Everyone then had there attention on her. "I would like to make a toast to the bride to be.May you and Mark have a splendid marriage and a happy life together." I smiled at her and then Amelia made a toast. "Lex,I am so glad you finally found somebody you can kiss makes in the shower." we all laughed. "Mark is a really good guy and you two were made for each other may you live happily ever after." I then hugged her because she and Mer was sitting next to me. We then finally arrived at the venue and Meredith and Amelia helped me out. We then met Derek and Zola half way. Then the music started to play and everyone were in their positions. First Zola and Sofia walked out throwing rose petals. Then went Meredith and Alex,Amelia and Link, Christina and Owen, Callie and Arizona and then the music changed again and Derek took my arm and walked me down the aisle. When I looked up I saw him standing there. I smile and in a few seconds we were in front of each other. Derek told Mark something and the he removed my veil and kissed me on the forehead. "You look beautiful." I smile and mouth a thank you towards Mark. The priest then began talking. "We are here today to witness the joining of Alexandra Caroline Grey and Mark Everett Sloan. If there is anyone who believes that these two shouldn't be joined in holy matrimony speak now or forever hold your peace." it was quite and nobody objected. "then let us begin.I believe you've prepared Your Own vows." we nod. Mark first said his vows. "Lexie I never knew what real happiness was until I met you.I've always knew you were going to play a huge role in my life even before I even met you. Since the day I laid my eyes on you I knew you were my soul mate. I tried to deny it until that night you told me about your photographic memory. I wanted to be with you since that day but then Derek made me promise to stay away from you.And now that I look back to that moment I'm glad you came to my hotel room. Lexie I live you." he then took the ring from Owen and slipped the ring on my finger. I then said my vows. "I love you.I do.I've been trying not to say so so long I've been trying so hard to just mash it down and not say it.And I thought I was happy without you but the truth is I wasn't.There were so may other guys that liked me. Really like me but it was never gonna work out because I love you.I am so in love with you.And you're in me.It's like you're a disease.It's like I am infected by Mark Sloan.And I just can't... I can't think about anything or anybody.And I can't sleep.I can't breath.I eat.And I love you.I just love you all the time.Every minute of everyday.And I...I...I...I love you." I can feel the tears rolling down my face as I take the ring from Owen and slid in on Mark's finger. "I love you Lex." Mark whispers. "And I love you." the post then continues. "Then by the power vested in me I now pronounce you husband and wife you may kiss the bride." Meek then cupped my face isn't his hands and kissed me all I heard was the applauses of the crowd. "I love you Lex." I smile. "I love you too."
